Senegal doesn't have major tribes fighting for supremacy.

Senegal is not divided along religious line. They are over 90% Muslims, so its very easy for them to unite.

Nigeria is too diverse. NIGERIA is not supposed to be a single country at all, so there is no basis to compare Senegal election to ours.
Ethnicity and religion play a big role here in Nigeria and you cant do anything about it
It is what it is.

The only solution to Nigeria problem is regional system of government or true federalism.
If every region control their resources, nobody will care who is President and who is not.
The presidency will just be ceremonial.

I am tired of hearing this rubbish. You people only ever think of controlling resources, what about the adjoining responsibilities. States want to control oil, but not ready to spend money to develop infrastructure, rail, prisons. They want state police but not ready to pay more salaries and operationalization of the police. It’s only how to get more resources that will be looted away, and after you will still run back to the federal to bail you out.

You dont understand how regional govt works then
When each region are allowed to control their resources, nobody is coming to federal rather it will be regions remitting a percentage to the federation
Very simple

What you said is not true. No country in Africa that does not have different ethnic and religious groups but it depends on how they handle it. Kudos to Senegal for knowing what they want and going for it.

do you know that that a particular region is just breeding recklessly uncontrollably to prop up their population in a bid to get NUmbers to win elections shocked and their man become president at the center

Can you just imagine that? If it were under the proposed regionalism would it have been so? They would simply borrow sense to control their population so that their resources can be sufficient.

This your perspective or theory is often also considered when people talk about breaking up the country.

Lol 😂 no be the same corrupt, greedy, controlling, lootocratic embezzling human beings from the former country go dey inside the new countries formed after splitting?
