But obviously, as long as the Nigerian system is involved, we all know that most of these governors don’t live by the salaries stated above, as governors with no exception can boast of acquiring billions of Naira in their private accounts at the end of their tenure.
Politicians in Nigeria are also seen as the richest set of people in the country.

Nigeria’s political offices are believed to be the fastest means of acquiring wealth. This means that any elected individual after being emerged victorious will be desperate to accumulate enough wealth through legal and illegal means.

Some governors are so corrupt that they even attempt to empty the state’s account, embezzling states funds meant for state projects and also depriving pension earners their rights to monthly pension as a result of greed.

In the nearest future, we hope to experience a less corrupt and transparent system of government, one that can rely and depend on their monthly salaries instead of embezzling public funds.

Still they steal billions in name of projects. Over inflating projects costs. After they serve maximum of 8 years they collect millions in pensions.

A teacher that served for 35 years in Lagos state barely gets up to 15M in pensions, but a governor who served for just 8 years gets to have homes in choice locations in Lagos and Abuja coupled with millions as pensions monthly.

Some of these governors will come out to tell their gullible citizens how they haven't received salary for so so so period, and people will cheer them up for being a good person. Lol...

So they mean they paid for party ticket, campaign expenses, lobbied and even fought tooth and nail with their opposition, just to come render a free service for the state and it's citizens? Is that how much they love the masses.

Nigerians aren't ready to be liberated, if they are, they know the right thing to do.

When GEJ was the president. We asked you to hold your governors accountable, but you refused. We asked you to hold you lawmakers accountable, but you said, GEJ was the problem.

Now we are learning to focus on the president who makes the policies and who's policies we are suffering from. You now want us to go and blame our governors and lawmakers?

Tell me, is this not hypocrisy?

Most of them don't need the salary because it is too small for them.
Reason they are always quick to say they are not collecting salary even the senator's and reps.
The allowances and the corrupt side takes they get in just a day is multiple times more than that foolish salary they always use in deceiving Nigerians.
