We should charge naira for our oil export, make them go buy naira, to buy our oil, this will boost naira demand and value.

But Prices of good is still high!
Government should look into this.

Business people especially, Igbo traders won't drop price

Well, in this case, the government isn’t the cause of the price problem but the traders.

Simple.
That is partially correct.

But what should a responsible government do when it has seen that certain people are taking advantage of the imbalance in the system to shortchange consumers and subject the populace to untold misery?

Tinubu is not forward-thinking...He is too reactive.

We cannot continue to suffer for the cluelessness of these leaders.

You want people to start dropping dead all over the place befiore you do your job?

Nigerians are being asked to be patient.. But only the living can be patient...

Clueless idiot, when naira was exchanging for 1850 to a dollar, someone like you was rejoicing and calling the government all manner of unprintable names.
But now that the government set out policies framework are paying off. You are bringing out another negative narratives that naira will collapse in less three months.
If naira doesn't collapse In three month then that doom will fall on your head...
Negativity about our country should be erased. Everyone should support this government to achieve greatness and prosperity. If these are sustained,in no time, fuel prices will go down, so also prices of commodities and food.

You are the clueless fool here. Naira must hit 10,000NGN whether you like it or not.

By then I'm sure you won't have money to purchase data to come online and talk trash.

This is normal in the meantime.
People are still selling the stock they got when dollar rates were high.

With time, market forces would stabilize it.

CBN as at yesterday had also reduced custom duty, so we expect a corresponding reduction in prices of imported goods, unless of course Nigerians do what they do best- which is continued exploitation and greed. Also, all level of government should roll up their sleeves and invest in critical sectors in their respective states.
If CBN did this, then I must really commend them. Cos if you know what custom charges importers you will feel sorry for them, the dollar alone isn't what determines market price custom duty does as well

Nigerians need a regulator in this aspect too. As you said, the only thing we Nigerians do best is to exploit ourselves.
So, the Nigerian market needs to be regulated.

Exactly, some people are just sadists who derive pleasure from things going wrong.Even if you are not in Nigeria,if things go wrong dont you have relatives here who would sufffer the consequence? Most times,we cannot distinguish between loving your country and political party. It is about love for your country now.The era of politics is over;it is about governance and we must all join hands to make it work.Whether APC or LP member the policies will affect us equally!

but Bayo Onanuga said that Tinubu was not prepared for the office he is presently occupying despite shouting "emilokan" all over the place. is he and those of u who support him not the true enemy of the progress and development of Nigeria?

Once the artificial fall gets to ₦1000 and below, operations load more.

Except they return to fully doing what other CBN leadership did in the past, nothing is keeping Naira below ₦700 in the next 6-12 months, not even mass production for export (we don't even have the capacity)

True, i was at a pharma store and was told they would have to sell off the ones on shelf before they reduce price and that dollars have to be stable.
I disagree on this….a couple of store I usually get items from inflated the prices of their goods despite the fact that these particular goods where already on ground.they sold at the rate of the inflated rate.when I inquired as to why, they claimed it’s due to the unforeseen or potential drop of the exchange rate.(moments like this).
Wo j I’m think it’s unjust for them not to sell at a loss now, after all they benefited from it before.

In a nutshell, dollar will drop until it reaches 500 naira at least?

Dollar is still selling above 1k, which is a very bad omen.

Antecedents taken into account, Dollar is more likely to hit 2k, than to fall to 500 naira.

Artificial solution. If we cannot find a need to make the naira valuable nothing go come out for all this fake solution. They will only stabilise it till they leave then it is another wahala for the next president . Tale the currency back to 500 then we know you're really working

This is the greedy man approach of Nigerians hurting themselves. Anyone who practiced this is nothing, but a rogue and thief. You bought a good as cheap as #25, because of surge in dollars and other hidden economic factor, manufacturer send a memo that the good is now #90, you begin to sell old stock at #90 at the detriment of the customers and the level of hardship they faced. Now, naira is gaining, manufacturer said the good is #60, you still insisted to sell at #90 claiming old stock. This is your so called business?. Anyone who practiced this, particularly those greedy Igbo traders should be arrested and fined heavily. You are killing the economy, propagating hardship, yet you are claiming Government is responsible. Government should regulate price of all commodities, anyone who could not sell at the regulated price should close up. Rogues are enriching themselves to impoverish Nigerians. If USD fall and these people are not checkmate, Government has done nothing.
Mathematically, your S.P= F(C.P)
calm down, there are people that actually rushed and filled their warehouses when dollar was 1800, they felt dollar will continue to rise so they bought excess.
Now those goods are still there, you don't expect then to sell cheap just because naira strengthened against dollar

what made the dollar to exchange for N1850 in the first place?

what "policies framework" are paying off?

is it the support or lack of support from the citizens that will make this government achieve greatness and prosperity or otherwise?

is that how Tinubu/APC and buhari supported Goodluck Jonathan?

what type of support should Nigerians support the government?

is the government supporting you and the citizens of the country?

what made prices of food to go up that u are expecting it come down?

why have kerosene and diesel not gone down all these years?

Why call him an idiot?

Since i was born, naira has always been collapsing against the dollar.

What makes you think dollar will even fall below 700 that Tinubu met it at?

Dollar is more likely to hit 2,000 naira, than to fall to 500 naira, which you and i knows.

Dollar that is selling above 1k now means Tinubu has performed wonders? Such mediocrity

I'm happy the naira is regaining its strength as a patriotic Nigerian but Tinubu should do us a favour by bringing the naira back to the 702 at the parallel market as he met it in May 2023. If he now wants to prove to Nigerians that he's Mr builder, he should improve it further far below 702 to at least, 350, not necessarily the 250 that the apc met it, which they said was not OK in 2015.
