The former Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) of the Labour Party (LP), Akin Osuntokun, has, during an interview on The Morning Show, an Arise Television programme, maintained that without Peter Obi, the party wouldn't have survived. He added that the role that the party played in the outcome of the 2023 elections is insignificant; as he described the party's role as disappointing. He also insisted that the LP has not held a convention to choose the officials of the party, and maintained that unlike the convention that produced Abure, the authentic Chairman would emerge from the party's convention that would hold in the nearest future.
