Too much of Nollywood
It’s not too much of Nollywood.

Actually, Nollywood has been depicting the true Igbo culture and customs.

Those stories and practices you see in Nollywood movies are not fabricated nor are they the imagination of the scriptwriter.

That position can be challenged in a court of law and the so called "sperms donor" will go home with the child

Federal Law supersede Regional Culture

You are right, federal laws also came down by abolishing the customs of the Igbos of the male children having the rights to inherit from their parents without the ladies having such rights.

This thread is about culture and not politics where we argue and argue.. Maybe you need to read my comment again or probably you want to quote someone else.

How is that a paternity fraud when it is actually a contract between two families?
Paternity fraud is when a cheating wife gets pregnant from another man and pin it on her husband.

So, which part of Nigerian law mandates that the child belong to the sperm donor?
The sperms donor is in quote which I borrowed from the OP as he termed the rightful father of a child as sperms donor .

It does not literally mean the sperm donor we all know

Yes, it's keeping the lineage.

A wife can marry another woman for the husband especially if she can't give birth( or birth a male child).

Sarah married a wife for Abraham.

I ask edyou a simple question and you responded with articles you either didn't read or
couldn't understand.
In fact, your article buttressed my point that sperm are largely useless in the scheme of
things regardless of what DNA test says.

Let me help you with a quote from your supporting article.

section 1 of the Child’s Rights Act and section 42 (2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, provides as follows:

Section 1 thereof, this Act provides that:

“in every action concerning a child, whether undertaken by an individual, public or private body …the best interest of the child shall be the primary consideration”.

Sperm donors are irrelevant as far as children custody is concerned.
They can even end up in jail if they try to claim a couples child child in Northern Nigeria,
regardless of what DNA said.

Except under extraordinary circumstance where a child is stolen or bought, DNA gives sperm donor zero rights over a couple's children.
The original father remains the father unless he choose to forfeit his right.

I hope you have been properly schooled.
