Politicians have ruined this country.

I am lost because the navy operates in coastal waters. How does this fall under their jurisdiction? No ships are involved. There is no evidence of stolen product or fuel from illegal refineries

This is a matter for dpr or the police

I suspect they have been buying diesel from this man and had a falling out with him and are now engaged in a dubious trial by public opinion.

The moment the fg allowed the army to 'conduct an investigation' into the deaths of its soldiers, they set this up to happen.

Law enforcement is not the job of the military

Aside from the company not being registered ( which is still contentious), tell me how this is an illegal business??

The real thieves are in the creeks, probably protected by the same security ops.... they just want to make some noise and camouflage with this dude. he is not an oil thief.

But trading AGO is not illegal nah, no evidence of stolen , siphoned, hijacked or illegal refinery AGO. So why was he arrested.
We have gas plants and farms around our neighborhood too, we have DPK or kerosene tanks around my neighborhood too.
What offence is the navy charging him for exactly.

This looks like a legit business, more like estates and companies supplies. The only crime here is that the company is not registered as alleged by the Nigerian navy, and it's situated within the residentials which I think is hazardous to the people living around even though fillings stations are guilty of it also.
There are bigger criminals out there stealing millions of barrels of crudes, not even desiels.
To me, this looks like a small fries that is not suppose to be on the media.
No be every ocations/events person dey take photographs na.

You are the sort of uneducated illiterate the navy is targeting. Because you have no idea how the law is supposed to work

Foolish dunce

The navy may as well arrest you for driving one way, since you have given them authority to do so.

There are multiple federal and state government agencies that actually investigate and confirm what laws have been broken

What the man has is a crude and poorly done fuel dump.

The correct questions are does he have a storage licence

How is he preventing environmental pollution?

It is ironic that the navy whose own fuel dumps do not have dpr licenses are even injecting themselves in this matter.

Give them the American punishment.
Impound the house,
Get information from him about his associates,
Issue phone numbers for more people to report such practices.
Impound everything else the man owns, account included.
Auction it to the public for cheap.
Although this looks like storage for hoarding, to sell with higher prices.
This is not the same as bunkering in the Niger Delta.

Very well said.
This looks like a legit business but not properly structured. No safety procedures, and also situated in an expensive private residents like lekki. I'm sure the residents or one connected resident reported him hence the whole public stunts.
The navy should go for the big fries and not little things like this
