For instance in the late 60s to 80s dollar can't matched naira simply because Nigeria had what they have comparative advantage in producing iike Cocoa, cotton, groundnut, palm kernel and palm oil. Nigeria has all these products in large quantities for exports. Nigeria was making money on them because they are producers.

But Nigeria of today, what is Nigeria producing nothing. Anybody that thinks 1US$ will be equal to 500 naira must be dreaming. Even the in government that are busy stealing Nigeria money were stealing in dollars not naira.
