Nigeria's Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has shed light on a distressing trend of electricity misuse among some residents. Addressing the press at a recent conference, Adelabu expressed deep worry over the lack of consumption management in the country, leading to rampant wastage of electricity.

"It's a troubling situation," remarked Adelabu, "we have observed that due to the affordability of electricity, some individuals are leaving their air conditioners and freezers running for days on end, even when they are not in use."

The Minister emphasized the stark contrast with management practices abroad, where energy conservation is a priority. "In many developed countries, people are well aware of how to manage their electricity usage efficiently. Unfortunately, this is not being replicated here in Nigeria," he stated.

Prepared meter is the answer

Just imagine the idiocy. Which cheap electricity? Abi the utter darkness plaguing this nation under the same people who now tell us that to provide 24 hours is rocket science. These people don't even rate the downtrodden masses.

Always quick to make comparism with good indices of human, social, and governmental development abroad but never practicing or implementing same here.

What is this man saying, which electricity are the people wasting, in this Nigeria or elsewhere, you people are failure, you have absolutely nothing to offer. We have been in darkness since the incept of this government, heat and heat wave is ravaging the people without any solution in sight and this man is talking about wasting electricity, in which land or country.

Why is Tinubu still allowing this failure of a minister in office?

Oh! I forgot. Both are failures.

Anyone on prepaid manages his/her usage.

If you stop giving people estimated billing and install prepaid meters for all customers, those 60 watts and 100 watts bulbs will go into extinction.

Human animals in the corridors of power, always comparing the living standards of the developed nations with that here,but won't work with their heart to replicate the same here.
