With this beef with the oba, I now believe the word 'oba' was originally Yoruba introduce to Benin when oranmiyan took over.

We might ask oba of Lagos and erelu kuti to return to Edo so they could from there return to Ife.

The concept of Ife is a place in the eastern Sahara and not Ile ife in osun state.
The different wave of migration had the oduduwa coming from ife with his entourage to conquer and rename the city ile-ife.
