The reason SE is even number 2: Their people are scattered all over the prosperous SW trying to make ends meet and are sending remittance home. SW is like Europe+America to them. As I am typing this, several new arrivals are disembarking at various night bus parks allover the SW region cool

Yeah we dey hustle to better our lives against all odds living and making a living even in an unfriendly environments. That is why we have the most beautiful villages in Africa.

Dear Akwuobi,

Thank you for your feedback. Actually, this is not a competition. I was only setting the record straight about a false attribution on Nollywood, which was brought on my TL on X.

Having said that, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, which is a public corporation, and Statisense, which is a private firm, the wealthiest part of Nigeria is the Southwest. The zone with the highest average per capita income is also the Southwest.

Ondo state has the same population as Enugu state, but Ondo's internal GDP is more than double that of Enugu. Ondo has the same GDP as Anambra, although Anambra has a larger population. How do you explain that? Ondo did not have a seaport for years. They just got approval for one in 2023, which is not yet operational. So, their economy is not import-dependent. It is built on agriculture and manufacturing.
...........

Thanks again, and may God bless you.

#TableShaker
Lol, Ondo has the same GDP as Anambra ?
You guys allow this fugitive of a man to be deceiving you, ok if it is all about GDP lmo GDP is times 4 that of Ondo, lmo has by far more gas deposit than Ondo and have more educated populace than Ondo,. even physical development, imo is ahead.
So how comes Ondo has less poverty than imo

Tablehaker indeed

Since when did ajagbandi, Ajegunle, okoko, e.t.c become posh estate? That's the same area they often win elections in because that's were they are most populous and retire to after hawking phone charger and gala plus lacasera in traffic 😂😂😂
So you were dead when Lagos APC were mocking Osibanjo for relocating his polling unit from ikoyi to Ogun state because he kept losing there due to lgbo population ?

That Ondo is number one least poor when we have Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, Delta etc is suspect

If you check well, Akwa Ibom will be among the poorest state, yet na them they produce the highest oil for the country.

Their human capital development is very very poor, the major trade you see them engage the most around the country is House maid, house cook, gateman etc, with a very minimal pay.

They need to wake up, as their natural resources us use to develop the far north and beyond.
Don't let ilauma and co to see this because they will come for you.

Natural resources means nothing... It's only in Africa we over hype it

I use to tell people if nigeria can take all oil and gas in igbo land and give igbo land freedom... That's it won't even affect igbos if we have good leaders

There is nothing like human capital development

Akwa Ibom is a typical example of what Peter obi told osibanjo in 2019

Infrastructure doesn't build an economy
Fine road won't improve your economy

The wastage of Lagos to calaba costal road won't improve the economy in any way

U grow economy by investing in your people
Providing access to credit

The only infrastructure u need are basic health n education simply
Then you leave infrastructures to decay, Is that not what you are trying to say? Common sense supposed to let you know that human capital and infrastructures are both interwovel and inter-dependent.

Nah infrastructure comes with improved human capital

If people become rich they would want to build houses

You then create avenues they build then you can build road and tax them housing tax... Housing tax repays the road contractions and maintain the roads

You don't build avenue, roads hoping ur people become rich... Worse still borrow to do them

This statistics is different from what Burea of statistics gave us.

According to the Bureau, the eastern region is less poor compared to other regions.

And that remains the facts.

This impostor should be ignored….don’t fall for his deceitful antics! He’s most likely a Yoruba masquerading as Igbo to try and further his bigotry and divide-and-rule plot!

He and his co-travellers ought to be ashamed that a people they have cheated, marginalised and conspired to ensure they don’t produce president, are making them feel so insecure and inadequate to the extent they have to continuously open dick-measuring threads just to reassure themselves! Does he think him and his ilk would have survived (from late 60s to date) to the extent Ndigbo/south-east have had it been they were confronted with the same kind of gang-up against them by a truly evil, hateful, vindictive, murderous, power-hungry and greedy hegemonic alliance! They can’t take even half of what Ndigbo have taken from them without going into oblivion!

The study may be a true representation of facts on ground or it may be cooked, but to me, its significance lays in the fact that, despite all the wickedness and anti-Igbo plots mounted against Ndigbo, we have not only managed to survive all that, but are now giving nightmares to the very same people who wish us dead….and who have been disproportionately favoured by the political-economy of ‘one Nigeria’!

Roll that in your spliff and smoke on it!

Here we go again with the paranoia, persecution complex plus siege and victim mentality.

Show where Yorubas have ever been part of a deliberate plot to impede or disenfranchise Igbos or keep the name of our ethnic group off your lips.

The truth is that the Yorubas are a fair, tolerant and fairly insular people who mind their own business and are content with their lot in Nigeria we have no expansionist zeal neither do we, because of crass materialism alone or quest for land grab, engage in permanent mass migration to any region in the entire Nigeria.

We are the most benevolently tolerant, humane, compassionate and balanced of the major ethnic groups in Nigeria. You should look in the Mirror sometimes, and confront the truth, instead of always viewing yourselves innocent victim of the Machiavellian plots of others
