MKEENEM CONDEMNS ATTACK ON GBOKO RESIDENCE OF BENUE'S 1ST CIVILIAN GOVERNOR

Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Benue State on Youth Mobilization and Empowerment / State Youth Leader, Hon. Mkeenem Moses FIMC, CMC condemns yesterday’s attack on the residence of the first Civilian Governor of Benue State by suspected Community Youth in Gboko Local Government Area of the state that led to the destruction of numerous properties worth millions of Naira.

The State Youth Leader describes the attack as savage and unacceptable, tasks security agencies in the LGA to take urgent steps to stop further attacks within the community.

He states unequivocally that his leadership of the Youth across the State will not tolerate acts of violence and the destruction of properties by any Youth.

The State Youth Leader therefore requests Central Youth Leaders in Gboko Local Government Area to work hand in hand with the police to fetch out those responsible for the attack on Aku's Gboko residence.

He makes it known that while dialogue remains a permanent solution to conflict, legal means of addressing grievances must be encouraged rather than the current resort to destruction.

Hon. Mkeenem sympathizes with the Aku's dynasty over their losses and calls on well meaning citizens to stand by them to be able to overcome the trying times.

ADIKWU, Samuel Oyikoha.
