Minister Directs That No New Corps Member Should Be Posted To Borno And Yobe States
Posted: November 16, 2011 - 19:07
The Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has observed the on-going controversy and confusion over the fate of would-be corps members originally posted to Borno and Yobe States.

He wishes to state clearly that no new corps member would be posted to these states under the current ‘Batch C’ mobilization of corps members. The affected corps members will be called to camp and begin the orientation exercise in Benue State (for those initially posted to Borno) and Nassarawa State (for those posted to Yobe) immediately after the regular Orientation Camps close.

Thereafter, these corps members would be posted to all states of the federation, except for Borno and Yobe States.

The Honourable Minister wishes to assure all corps members that Government is working hard to ensure their safety and security, and commends them for their unalloyed service to Fatherland.

The affected states will soon begin to feel the effect of aiding and abetting criminals. It's just a matter of time.

Its because of dis our distorted federal system of givin handouts every mth to unproductive states that some state govts don't feel d impact of non indigenes& indigenes alike leaving a state to other places. If u served in some of d northern states,u wi bgin to understand d impact of a mere 2,000 corpers with regular monthly income on d local economy of dese states.
Of course som useless governors dnt know bc they are not encountable to anybody& Aso rock is always dere to doll out billions every mth.

Somebody is finally using his head. I think this should be extended to all states where corpers are attacked.

Hope the directive is implemented? The NYSC individuals in those states would be cursing their luck dreaming of all the extra cash they would have made.
