Naija, a country where life is cheap and anything goes.

Just this afternoon, I told my wife that Jnr Pope did not die of drowning, he died of ignorance. Ignorance of Nigerians! What was he taken to the mortuary for in the first place? Who certified him dead? What CPR was done? For how long? By who? Then from mortuary to river goddess, then to the hospital! Damnnnnn... An avoidable death.

And then one baskard said he survived because he offered fanta and 10k to the river goddess? Such a cheap, gluttonous and worthless goddess who would kill several people because she was not given fanta of #400.

They are possibly waiting for another victim, then they will come in front of the cameras to send condolences to the victims family and promise to investigate the cause after which it becomes business as usual, I will never be a victim of failed system in Nigeria

This is Nigeria! Infrastructural decay KILLED a young Doctor and no one faced any consequences.

Everybody is going about their lives like NOTHING happened.

This is another reason people FLEE this hellhole. In a country like US, work place hazards like these would have incited a serious of lawsuits against the government. Some to the tune of millions of Dollars for the benefit of the family of the deceased.

Paying through the nose for negligence would have motivated the government to gear up and FIX the issue.

Imagine taking OVER 8 months to fix ORDINARY elevator. If Julius Berger won't do it ASAP, take the contract to someone who will.

Every SANE person should be working to leave Nigeria.

Oga speak for yourself. Foreigners are still trooping into Nigeria to make it big. Accidents happen everywhere. A whole major bridge recently collapsed in the same US, due to the same negligence.

You say no body wants to fix the problem , so we should all run away. If we all run away, who will fix the problems?

Japa if you want to, but don’t discount the sanity of those who don’t. They may be seeing things that you obviously can’t see

There is no dignity or respect for human life in Nigeria. The politicians will just loot us dry and the project they refused to build will be killing people. Yet we the citizens will just be fighting each other.

If you have the means, japa and go and leave in a better society.

Who told you that he/she is igbo? Did you verify his identity before bashing igbos. Anyone from any part of the country can come on a faceless forum and pose as SEterner just to create tribal tension...you guys should stop falling their baits. Unless, you have hatred against igbos lurking in somewhere your heart.

With your little sense you think say maintenance is just a problem in Lagos and not all over Nigeria? That is not to justify why they didn't fix the elevator. Anything Lagos or West una body go dey hot like molten magma, yet una go dey troop there like people without origin.

It's disheartening how we easily forget issues that affect us as citizens and our rulers are taking advantage of the lackadaisical attitude since used to abandoning missions halfway.
Sanwo olu is shameless for not being active of several avoidable social matters.
Re: Lagos Gov’t Yet To Fix The Elevator That Killed Doctor In General Hospital by zanshi: 11:11pm On Apr 11
One of the reasons why i feel Sanwolu govt should have been booted out 2023 is due to his slow paced approach when it comes to maintaining projects and developing infrastructure.

Many years aback, BRT's were once in good shape even had AC now it is a thing of the past, who remebers Ikorodu road the newly built one that was completed during Ambode's tenure that had street lights, barely none work now as a matter of fact driving on that road remains pitch dark for most part at night.

Sanwo Olu is probably waiting for a few more doctors to die before the elevator gets fixed.
