The Delta State Police Command has arrested one Nicholas Charles for the murder of his wife's friend, Ngozi Sharon William, in Asaba, the State Capital.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, who disclosed this to newsmen in Asaba, on Thursday, April 11, 2024, said the deceased, a mother of three, was stabbed to death by the suspect when she paid his family a visit.

“On the 5th April 2024, at about 2300hours, one Ngozi Sharon William went to visit a family friend, one Mr Nicholas Charles ‘m’ and his wife at No.10 Adizue Onochei Street Asaba,” the CP stated.

“While the said Ngozi was in the apartment, a disagreement ensued between herself and the said Nicholas, which took them to the kitchen. During the course of the disagreement, the suspect, Mr. Nicholas picked a knife on the fridge and stabbed the victim which led to her death. Suspect is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.”

LIB gathered that Sharon, from Enugu State, also worked with the suspect's wife, Mrs. Ijeoma Precious Nicholas.

According to a Delta activist, Marvin Mordi, Sharon assisted Mrs. Nicholas in producing fresh fruit juice and tiger nut drink.

"They make the drink in the house of Mrs. Nicholas, mostly at night, and after production they supply In the morning,” he explained.

"Based on this policy, Sharon closes from work everyday at 5am and either Mrs. Ijeoma Nicholas or Mr. Charles Nicholas drops her everyday at her house

"Sharon had an issue with her friend, Mrs Ijeoma Precious Nicholas, according to Sharon's daughter, that made her stop work for about 2 weeks.

"During the Easter celebration, Ijeoma Precious Nicholas called Sharon and pleaded with her to please come and assist her in the production, saying that the pressure was much on her.

"Sharon obliged and resumed on Easter Monday. She was stabbed to death on Friday, same week and her dead body was dumped at her employee street half naked.

“It was revealed by Sharon's daughter that her mother left for Mrs Ijeoma house to help her produce fresh fruit juice. They became concerned when their mom didn’t return and neither Mrs. Ijeoma nor the husband dropped her as usual

"Mrs Ijeoma Precious Nicholas' husband has been arrested and currently at the police headquarters for further investigation while she is on the run..

"Mrs Ijeoma Precious Nicholas is a worker at the House on The Rock Church Asaba same as her husband, who is also a Nollywood actor

“We are calling on the rightful authorities that this murder shouldn’t be swept under the carpet. We demand Justice for Sharon,” he concluded.

People take stupid risks in life. The deceased took a big risk that should never have happened. The arrangement is totally wrong and if you stop working anywhere with anyone, never go back.

So sad.
But what is the man's business with the woman that led him to commit murder ?
His wife that he was trying to defend will now continue her life while he goes finally in for his crime.

After commiting this wicked act they tried to cover it up. The both couple should be arrested, not only the man.

The deceased got it wrong by first accepting to work in the suspect's house overnight. The husband ought not to have allowed this. So many things may crop up. Also, chances of her being rescued should anything goes wrong is diminished. Based on the doctrine of last seen, the man and the wife should be held for the murder.

It looks more like she was robbed on her way back home and the murder pinned on the suspect!

The narration itself is biased ! The assertion is obviously prejudicial that their disagreement led to been stabbed, have they confirmed the murder weapon was owned and used in the kitchen of the suspect?

This kind of stories should be released by police not media ! It looks too much like a setup
