LAD is a condition in electrocardiography where the heart's average electrical axis of ventricular contraction rests between 30° and 90° in a frontal plane direction. This results in a positive QRS complex in lead I and a negative complex in leads AVF & II. Causes of LAD vary widely, from normal variation to congenital heart disease.
