Those brown roofs are ancestral homes of people. Houses built about 100yrs ago. If Ibos don't have brown roofs, it means that their ancestors were living inside bush when Ibadan was already a city.

Let face reality, brown roof is the symbol of Ibadan. No offense, the people of Oyo State are proud of their brown roof
All those places are not really brownroofers

Don't be stupid.

Have you been born when Bola Ige of blessed memory was the Oyo State Governor.

Even he could not be compared to either Ladoja and Ajimobi .

You would just come online and be spewing rubbish.

There are places in need of roads with entirely damaged roads.
Ojurin road towards onikokoro or Elebu or the terrible road network off Tipper garage. Just a few I remember.
These places have zero roads and billions is being used to rehabilitate "okay" roads.

That is why politicians usually got away with public fund, because they know majority of Nigerians known next to nothing about their right. The part they are amending on this particular road is not up to 300 meters, yet their propaganda machineries will come online to feed you lies because they know you are too lazy to make your own research about their claims.

Come to Ibadan and see yourself, there are thousands of internal roads that needs urgent attention, yet this governors would rather collect all the money meant for local government to function and claim they are doing over inflated projects.

State governors are the main reason Nigeria remain underdeveloped till date, they contributes absolute nothing to the development of common man in their state. To make the matter worse, they will collect the allocation of local governments that are very close to the people and appoint caretakers they pay only salary.

End state government and see how fast Nigeria will develop

Remember that Ibadan was the largest town in West Africa. It still continues to expand.
That old axis is where Ibadan started from when other people were living in huts,Ibadan had standard houses which roofs have now turned brown.

The old people have sworn that they would not allow any governor to demolish that axis.
According to Google,Ibadan Is 3080 sq km.
I think it is bigger than that now.
That axis is not even up to 50 sq km but built closely with narrow roads.

In that picture:
Where are the more than 12 GRAs.
The 5 mega malls and other malls.
The stadia.
The universities.
The estates etc.
That is a tiny part of Ibadan but situated at the centre where everybody usually sees it.

Nearly Completed Project: Reconstruction of the Bus Stop Gate-Oje-Beere-Oja Oba-Molete Under Bridge Road (10.8 km), part of Lot 2 of roads being reconstructed in Ibadan.

The Reconstruction of the Bus Stop Gate-Oje-Beere-Oja Oba-Molete Under Bridge Road (10.8 km) is Nearly Completed

An update of the nearly completed reconstruction of the Bus Stop Gate-Oje-Beere-Oja Oba-Molete Under Bridge Road (10.8 km). The Bus Stop Gate-Oje-Beere-Oja Oba-Molete Under Bridge Road project is the first of two roads in Lot 2 approved for reconstruction on 5 December 2023 by the Oyo State Executive Council.

12 roads in Ibadan were approved to be reconstructed by the Executive Council under Lots 1 and 2.

The reconstruction of the Bus Stop Gate-Oje-Beere-Oja Oba-Molete Under Bridge Road (10.8 km) and the Oke Adu-Ode Aje-Aremo-Orita Aperin Road (3.5 km) are the two roads in Lot 2 being handled by Ratcon Construction Company.

There are three other road reconstruction projects currently ongoing under Lot 1 of approved roads to be reconstructed in Ibadan. The repair of feeder roads in Ibadan will be extended to every zone in Oyo State as it is a priority under Omituntun 2.0.

Stop feeding the people with fake news

This is not reconstruction but repair of damaged portion and it's been ongoing for years. This filling of potholes didn't suppose to take 6months

4km Olorunsogo road flagged off since 2021 but not up to 30% completed completed an far after 3yrs which means not up to 1km done in a year

Dear Seun, please always verify news before it makes front-page although we know it's sponsored post

All this GSM does is rehab or attempt to rehab a couple of roads to siphon Oyo state money. Who is doing the rehab other than his company. The man should not and cannot be compared to Ajimobi. Go to Mokola roundabout and see the eye sore he has failed to clean up. He passed it by there almost every week to go and play golf. Useless governor.

Makinde still remained the most useless governor oyo state has ever produced
