The Defence Headquarters says the military will continue to deal decisively with those who have taken up arms against the country until they are brought to their knees.

The DHQ spokesman, Edward Buba said ”The fighting spirit of our men and women in uniform is strong, resilient, focused, proud and committed. We understand that we have no choice but to continue to fight to defeat the enemy and create a safer environment for citizens.

Mr Buba said any group that took up arms against the nation ”is inviting severe military action and would be dealt with decisively.”

Mr Buba, who said this on Thursday in Abuja during the bi-weekly news briefing on the armed forces operations, said the military required the total and unconditional support of the people.

According to him, support from the civil populace would galvanise the troops to defeat the terrorists and other criminals across the country. “The time is now for citizens to know that they have a responsibility to the nation,” the defence spokesman added.

Mr Buba noted that most of the security challenges in the country, including banditry, terrorism, kidnapping illegal mining, and secession agitations, were the handiwork of citizens for self aggrandisement. Our security situation is self-inflicted."

"The military recognise that there is still a challenging and tough war campaign ahead. Our objective is to defeat the terrorists and their cohorts by denying them the ability to continue to fight,” he added.

The citizens of this nation are being killed gruesomely by these same terrorists. Yet the same army that a major general said a repentant BH can become president if he laid down his arms?

Meanwhile, the Nigerian military have been granting these same treasonable killer terrorists a fucking undeserving amnesty with the senseless operation safe corridor programme.

Embittered Nigerians elites who wanted to sound popular among their brainwashed masses brought it upon Nigerians.
What we should do every four years should be renegotiation of the oneness of this country and not election of leaders.

Insecurities in East was brought by Nigeria army when they make it their duty to be murdering innocent youths in dozens for just protesting peacefully, gathering and praying in football field for release of illegally detained Kanu, holding peaceful meetings, etc

When I shouted and warned about what that could result, evil people here were hailing Nigeria securities.
Shouting kill them all,use them as target practice, more bullets in your guns, put them in portoporto, etc

People like helinues.

You will see them now coming here to write trash as if they care for East, but then their joy was to read news that soldiers killed 25 Igbos youths.etc

The so called DHQ shouldn't pretend as if they don't know what happened.

The military has earned themselves a reputation of a terrorists organization with state backing. The citizens are scared of the military. In some cases, more innocent people are killed by the military than terrorists.

Okuama comes to mind.
