Enugu Trade Fair: Moniepoint receives accolades for innovation and reliability

Enugu State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) President, Sir Odeiga Jideonwo, has commended the management and staff of Moniepoint Inc, led by its Group CEO, Tosin Eniolorunda for for positively changing the narrative in Nigeria’s banking industry and adding value to the Nigerian economy though its innovative and reliable services especially for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

Jideonwo who made this assertion at the 35th Enugu International Trade Fair with the theme ‘Promoting Made in Nigeria Products for Global Competitiveness’ noted that as a leading financial technology institution, Moniepoint represented an example of how made in Nigeria products can be globally relevant and competitive through value addition and linkages that accelerate commercial and industrial activities as well as local content advancement.

In his remarks presented at the Moniepoint Special Day, Jideonwo who was represented by the Deputy President ECCIMA, Nnanyelugo Osakwe expressed admiration for the widespread reach and impact that Moniepoint has made in making banking services accessible using digital technology while stating that the leading role of the bank in providing support to SMEs and for the economic growth of the nation would remain the bank’s core target.

“The work Moniepoint is doing in catering to Nigerians operating in almost every sector of the economy has been great and we must thank them for all they are doing to improve service delivery to consumers. We acknowledge the bank’s effort is ensuring the security and safety of customer accounts and we urge them to do more to frustrate those who want to deprive ordinary Nigerians of their legitimate earnings thereby tarnishing the image of the sector.”

He thanked Moniepoint for being one of the major sponsors of the fair adding that the participation of Moniepoint and the observance of her special day at the fair has added color to this year's edition while providing an opportunity and platform for the bank to project its suite of products and for wider interaction with various publics.

Responding Senior Vice President, Distribution Network and Sales, Moniepoint, Ezekiel Sanni said that Moniepoint’s participation at the Trade Fair was a firm demonstration of its strong affinity for the Fair’s theme and in furtherance of its ethos as a customer-obsessed and value-driven organization. He noted that Moniepoint is driven by the need to support the government at both the state and Federal levels in transforming the economy and stimulating real growth in order to create a society where everyone experiences financial happiness.

Sanni congratulated the Enugu State government and Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA) on the successful hosting of the Trade Fair.
