All the present systems in place have failed this nation. The only solution to our problem is a violent revolution after which the country will then reverts back to regional Federalism. So there is urgent need to over-haul the system despite the disadvantages it poses.

The best system of government for Nigeria is the UK type of system where the four nations of Wales, England north Ireland and Scotland are economically independent but are politically answerable to the seat of power in London.

The major ethnic groups shud hv been independent home nations under the control of a parliamentary voted prime Minister. Regionalism is the way forward or total disintegration. Nigeria needs unbundling.

State governors aren't even the major problem of state police. The major problem is funding. If state governors cannot pay ordinary salaries, where will they get the money to pay police officers?

If that is not addressed, the kind of bribery and corruption today's police shows will be a child's play compared to what we will experience that time.

It's easier said than done. It's easier to make promises and profess solutions to problems than to execute the solution when they are in power.
State Police is the way to go and I trust Tinubu on this one. It will be done sooner or later.

In my opinion, Bypass state police and Create local government police.

Local Government police(advantages)
1) no state governor,tribe or religion can easily abuse all the LG police in the state.
2) They are more closer and familiar to the people.
3) Crime is easily manage at smaller scale.
DISADVANTAGES
1) L.G Chairmen can easily exploit the system.
2) It will be more expensive to run and manage 774 L.G police departments in the entire country...A strain on Nigeria's budget.

Let them create it first. People once said atm wouldn't work in a country like Nigeria where there's no network and robbers will steal the money inside it. Today, nobody remembers saying that again. Federal police have been seen snatching ballot boxes openly, arresting opposition without mercy so, saying politicians will use them to have their bidding is immaterial.

It's just like saying Nigeria isn't ripe for electronic voting when those kicking against it watch dstv, livestream, watch Netflix , make electronic transfers in their in their remote villages, seamlessly.

They know most if us don't know our rights as citizens so, they always have their way. If we can be protesting like we did during end sars, suing them to court without embracing tribalism, these people who are so minute will sit tight. They're not up to us in population.

nope the citizens of each states will have to pay for their Police but jurisdiction in certain things will be regulated .
