This is an interesting scenario .. it remains to be seen if SIEC will implement the provisions of the new law.
Also who will extend the tenure of the LG formally? Is it the House or it is automatic?

Though they are fighting Fubara on behalf of Wike, which is unhealthy for the people of Rivers, IT IS NORMALLY LAWFUL in a democracy that governors shouldn't have power to appoint council heads neither should they have control over their finances. But the two evils was introduced in Nigerian politics by Tinubu when he was governor of Lagos State.

In my own opinion, this should not be about Wike and Funara. This should dwell on good governance. If Fubara and other governors can go to Abuja to share money/ allocation why can't "elected" L.G. chairpersons' travel to their state capitals to sit with their "elected" governors and share allocation accordingly too

He’s a very stupid fellow and will surely lose 2nd term with the grassroot politicians flexing their muscle against him.

Someone that was supposed to be ruthless, he go sign agreement with Tinubu and Wike to keep, and removed Ehie that was his staunch man as Speaker.

Second term loss is his destiny.

His only hope now is he pledges and shows capacity to deliver 2nd term for Tinubu, that will make Tinubu to leave him to deal with Wike, uproot him and still win Rivers state as President. If he shows Tinubu he doesn’t have that capacity, FG will keep siding Wike against him.

rivers state budget for 2024 is 800b, while FCT budget is 1.2tr. So wen it comes to rivers treasury the man isnt bothered.

This is just an academic exercise. After all there numerous Supreme courts against Governors who sack elected Local Government Chairmen to appoint Care taker. Yet Governors still go ahead to appoint same. There are also Supreme court Judgement in favour of Sacked LGA against some Governors.
However the tenure of these set of Chairmen will end and at their expiration, there is no law that permits the Assembly or any one to extend their tenure, so at that time we will see who is the Governor.
Fubara is not shouting.
Even Wike said that you should be afraid of mebn who do not talk but act.

Onye buru na turn by turn, who was Wike before, Odili and His Wife brought him to limelight. GEJ and Aunty Patience made him Governor.
Was Wike as Powerful as Odili before now? answer is No, Wike will leave FCT some day.
His down fall will be worse if it comes from Fubara.
Dont Forget that Tinubu worked with Wike because Wike was Governor, So Tinubu will likely work with Fubara for Fubara to deliver Rivers to him in 2027.
Wike has shown that he can never be trusted with his words, So Tinubu will gradually remove oxygen from him.

Forget about being a traitor.

Obaseki also traited against Oshiomole and still had a deal with FG not Abuja which led to Oshiomole’s disgrace even while Oshiomole was in APC while he agreed while under PDP after traiting Oshiomole.

The only difference here is FG (Buhari camp which didn’t want Tinubu and his ally Oshiomole in power), saw Obaseki had the balls and what it takes to ruggedly uproot Oshiomole, this led them to agree with him despite him betraying Oshiomole.

Same scenario plays here only that Fubara doesn’t want to comply to agreement, neither does he have grit and bravery to go full force against his enemy.

Giving Goodluck Jonathan Ebere vibes.

Second term loss awaits him unless FG by chance chooses to do away with Wike.
