The China General Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria has reacted to the allegations that the Chinese supermarket within the premises of the Royal Choice Estate, Airport Road, Abuja, barred Nigerians from entering.

A video hit social media on Sunday revealing that the Chinese supermarket officials denied access to Nigerians seeking to purchase groceries, generating a public outrage.

Reacting to the incident, in an official statement on Monday, the Chamber explained that the Royal Choice Estate is not a supermarket as widely reported, but rather comprises an office complex and residential apartments.

The China Chamber of Commerce is one of several enterprises using the facility, and the supermarket in question is located in the residential area of the estate, which is unrelated to the China Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria,” the statement said.

According to the statement, the residential area of the estate has privately occupied residents who comply with security protocols in granting access to external visitors.

It added that no individual was subjected to discrimination or denied access to the estate or supermarket to purchase groceries as widely believed.

However, the statement expressed regret over the altercation at the estate’s entrance gate between the security personnel and a customer, stressing that it does not reflect the official position of the estate management or the chamber of commerce.

The China General Chamber of Commerce emphasised its commitment to equality and inclusiveness and welcomed first-hand visits to witness the truth.

Our principles are to enhance friendship between the people of both countries and promote economic development,” the statement added.

Meanwhile, the officials of the Federal Competition and Consumer and Protection Commission (FCCPC) have sealed off the supermarket.

The FCCPC officials invaded the premises, interrogated the Nigerians working at the supermarket, and shut it thereafter.

Nigerians have hailed the agency over the move, wondering why such controversy could arise on the country’s soil.

While condemning the actions of the Chinese supermarket if they actually prevented Nigerians from accessing the supermarket to shop, we must condemn evil in its entirety.

Many voters who looked like they came from a particular popular part of Nigeria were brazenly prevented from casting their votes in a presidential election in Nigeria here. Violence was freely meted out to the ones who dared to come forward to vote, Heads were broken, beatings were freely administered, the news and pictures of that abound in this very forum. Right under the very noses of security agencies, right inside Nigeria here. Right under the noses of those opening their mouths waaaa to shout injustice now.

Nobody was arrested, nobody is in jail for that.

Then what is our moral justification to condemn a simple act of refusal of entry in a private business? Which is worse?

Lakaka!

Nigerians themselves laid the foundation of segregation. Nigerians who condemn the supermarket but kept quiet when Igbo people were not allowed to vote in Lagos are hypocrites. The same goes to those who condemned lekki tollgate shooting but kept quiet about python dance in the East.

One thing I know

Nigerians discriminate against themselves both Home and Abroad.

Jealousy, Envy, Prejudice, Nepotism. None of these haven't I experienced from Nigerians.

Nigeria has sunk to the abyss under the prent governmment. The foreigners has more protection and respect more than Nigerians. This is because Nigeria has never been a nation. Alaba market was demolished and handed over to Chinese investors. How do you expect foreigners to respect you.

This shameful

The issue is not all about buying and selling. The major theme here is practicing racism against us in our own indigenous country.

You know nothing
It is common for siblings to fight among themselves at home. But does that mean an outsider can come and fight any of the siblings and go scot free from the other siblings?

This is exactly what happened in the whole of South East. The Presidential election was a complete sham.

Obi won in Lagos. Atiku won in Osun.

THE WORST ELECTORAL MALPRACTICE IN THE HISTORY OF NIGERIA HAPPENED IN THE WHOLE OF THE SOUTH EAST DURING THE LAST PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION. Your description is sharp and very, very clear.

In the South East, during the election, anybody that doesn't vote Peter Obi is considered to be an OUTCAST, O'S'U and maltreated. That fear, made some to remain at home and not come out to vote their preferred candidate or party.

During the gubernatorial election which Obi wasn't on the Ballot, it all turned out to be a different story.

Imagine you finding the Chinese discrimination of Nigerians repulsive when it is so impended in the cultural practice of the South Easterner to discriminate within his own very tribe. The traditional outcast system called O'S'U. .grin

After being caught red handed
Black people all over the world need to wake up
You have the most resources on earth in Africa
Women all over the world want your men, the only reason some can’t talk is because of what society will say, but once they have money like Adele or are more matured and independent, they don’t care, they rush black men. They even travel to Gambia and Jamaica for black men.
White women try to have darker skins like black women and sit in the very hot son all day, even getting skin cancer, yet our black women will bleach to look white when melanin is a unique gift that helps prevent skin cancer

Africans have to wake up

Check behind most popular white musicians, their backup is black

Blacks can sing, are great at sports, beautiful dancing skills and grow organic food that is still mostly unblemished by GMOs

The African way is the best way.

They encourage your leaders to steal money and store it in their countries and lose most of it when they die. A vicious cycle to keep you in poverty

When the set of Nkrumah, Azikiwe, Sankara, Moi, Balewa etc rose up with the sure trajectory of making Africa great, they were cut down by coups and sponsored opposition

You’ve got to wake up Africa and Nigeria is the trigger

Chinese & their tricks.
More x-ray should be beamed on foreigners doing anyhow in Nigeria.
Lebanese enslaving people in their companies and Asians dehumanizing our women should cease. All Nigerians should see themselves as the superior race. At least in Nigeria.

This so called super market is close to where I live and I have just been laughing since the sensational story of them not allowing Nigerians go in broke out. I know most Nigerians are illiterates and flow with any sensational story without thorough investigation. I won't say much but let Nigerians continue to believe whatever they like

Chinese people will set up their business in your own and forbid the citizens from using it. This is the height or discrimination and they are here denying it.

May God never answer the prayers of those who want China to be more powerful than America and its allies, amen!

Regarding the election matter wey U mention
It was a food that was served round
As it happened in the East
So it did in the West
No region has monopoly of violence
How do U explain Obi winning 100% in the East without any opposition
Go and rest oga
