These are the people who go about insulting the Nigerian Defence HQ, they don't even know that most of what the military is doing in the country is actually the job of the police not the military.

Top navies in the world operates fighter jets and helicopters.

Navy usually have large ships with platforms for helicopter landing. Some countries operate aircraft carriers from where fighter jets and helicopters can take off from. So, it stands to reason that the Navy will have it's own jets and helicopters.

That is the modern army for you unlike the obsolete WW1 armed forces in Nigeria where soldiers carry AK 47 with no scope. The US Navy, Army, Marine Corps, National guards and Coast Guards all have their own pilots and aircrafts. But in Nigeria, the redundant airforce is relied upon to to fly even an ordinary DJI drone.
