Again, saying security is sole responsibility of federal government is totally off point and hypocritical. Didn't he embezzled money in the name of security vote when he was governor? Was he not parading himself as the chief security officer of jigawa state?

What had he (Sule Lamido) done to correct the situations when he was there as governor of Jigawa State. His own achievement was embezzlement of State funds to his own private account and Sons private accounts. His records of Corruption are still there in EFCC.

There is nothing wrong with going to US for lecture on security. Mr Lamido, are governors not the chief security of their state? Anything to better the life of the people is a welcome development. Our constitution doesn't ban the governors from assisting or providing basic aid to tackle insecurity.
What of those governors and law makers that do go for holidays in US?

It makes sense for them to travel abroad. Security belongs to everyone and not just the federal government. Security belongs to citizens also. It also makes sense because there is an ongoing debating about letting states have more power and control on security matters. Unlike Nigeria, US state governments have control over state police. The governors went to learn and network with people that have more experience on state police. It is wise to learn from people that have more experience on a subject. It shows wisdom to leverage on other people's experience inorder to avoid mistakes.

I can't believe that sule lamido who led the 19 northern governors to meet Obama and complain against president Jonathan over the chibok girls and insecurities in the north can say what I am reading.
