santaclaws:That will be more expensive. If he has 15 people on his entourage, multiply that by maybe $10,000 for business class seats. A private jet hire or usage will be cheaper. |

Goodvibes007: But to be honest, this isn't the time for Mr. President to be moving about with 15 people... It's unnecessary. Apart from his Aide de Camp, 1 or 2 assistants and 1 or 2 important ministers/advisers, it's really unnecessary to move about with so many people. 1 Like |

Fixing the jet will cost 2.9 Billion dollars. Although it’s costlier than buying a new Jet, we think repairing it makes more sense. |

Sweetberry123: Death of Tinubu does not solve Nigeria's problems. I was preferring Peter Obi during the elections, but Tinubu has not really done bad. He seems to be trying to correct his errors quickly. Obi might not have the kind of influence that Tinubu has to challenge the strongholds that are besieging the nation. So his policies might be heavily frustrated by underneath powers. Atiku is a serial thief and extremely selfish. He is worse than Tinubu every parameter. So I have nothing more to say about him. In effect, wishing your president death is not the solution. 3 Likes 1 Share |

NeckingNgulping: Haaa… haba, how can you wish death for him. Think about the fact that he’s someone’s father, husband, uncle etc… just like you have a father or you are a father, an uncle or even a husband. Let’s take things easy. The problem we face as a country is caused by all of us… both the leaders and we the followers. May God help our nation. Amen🙏🏻🙏🏻 |

jmoore: ^^^ Mass deception is our religion in the country called Nigeria. China is the world's factory and production line...and yet, the Chinese believe they simply cannot afford the luxury of a permanent fleet of so called 'presidential' jets. Even with China's reputation for widespread official corruption - the Chinese government obviously felt a fleet of presidential arcraft was taking it too far. For now at least, the Chinese government simply charters aircraft from the national carrier whenever senior government officials need to travel. Meanwhile...there is one fifth world country like that...with a permanent fleet of presidential jets and a presidential motorcade that some first world countries would struggle mightily to justify (or explain) to voters. And its not just Nigeria's federal government - the states are not to be outdone in this show of excess. Ododo's official Mercedes Benz (playing a major role in this Yahaya Bello drama just a couple of weeks ago) comes to mind. The APC's Buhari (like Nigeria's leaders before him) kept up with this presidential aircraft nonsense and his successor (Bola Tinubu) has continued down the same path. So called 'leaders' who believe with all their heart and soul in the "rules for thee but not for me" philosophy. Nigeria will never, ever make it as long as she continues to do things this way. Anyone can quote me anywhere. 1 Like |
