This is a total decline in performance of students these days. They now have other preferences other than struggling to score above 250 in jamb

If they publish the 10 best students, SE will be like 6 out of the 10.
That of last year had 7 Yoruba-named toppers in first 11.

Rest with your bullocks

This is a disgrace

Quota System is another cause of the disgrace. Why aspire for the best knowing full well that even if you score 220, someone who scored 120 may be admitted and you will not be admitted. Nigeria's a fraud where one centralised government system is used to discourage high aspirations.

The reported percentage is more than 100. Jamb statistics for the released results need to be checked again.

Chaiii. I think this will mostly affect science students.

I learnt the calculation was too much but were given 2hrs only to answer 200 questions. 80 English, 40 for mathematics, physics and Chemistry. Wetin you expect?

Anyway, this will reflect the true capability of each students. grin
in university they give 30minutes to answer 80 math question. For courses like gns and agric they sometime give 20mins to answer 100 questions. This is for cbt exams at 100l.

There's the part of kids these days not reading and having little knowledge and there's also the role of CBTs

Passing CBTs is a skill on its own, you need speed, accuracy and then knowledge. It's not really like paper objectives. They ( schools /parents) need to train these kids more on these, that mock exams is not enough. Some people are not just good with CBTs it doesn't mean they don't have the knowledge.

One thing the top scorer last year said was that their school made them practice a lot with some exam apps. I believe these are available everywhere but some it's tiktoking they use tech for , some don't even have access to such.

Social media is a good education institution. Google teaches everything.

Atiku Abubakar boasted in 2022: "our people (northern people) are not on social media."

why will they read, when they see that you can grab power without certificates
NDSMELODY:
Students are no longer reading these days and I don't blame them because Nigeria has failed us.. majority of graduates are outside there suffering, some are collecting peanuts as salary after wracking there brain in school,,so where is the motivation for the nowadays student.......my thoughts though, no hurts.

Thisnis the man that turn Jamb into a revenue generation ministry without increasing exam fee while all the others from 1999 always demand for additional funding from FG.

Good. Now, Government should remodel our polytechnics as technical training institutes for certificated courses like modern welding technology, construction designs and carpentry, automotive repairs and product management. And Government should fund the training institutes heavily. These courses can take our young population to Europe and Dubai to make money. We should forego empty paper qualifications and only professional courses like Medicine, law, pharmacy etc. should be taken at government universities. Trust me, we will say bye bye to graduate unemployment in 10 years to come.

WAEC has lost credibility. It has been deeply compromised
back in 2020, I was math teacher, my worst students got A1 in math(note this girl doesn't listen in class and I tried my possible best to make her understand. There was a time she told me directly that she can never understand math, that it isn't for her) and my best student got c5.
