How can you compare those who are on pay as you view, to we that pays a flat monthly rate? The comparism does not jell at all.. we have more subscribers than South Africa, so the spread of their expenses per viewers should be low in Nigeria.
Where did you get that info that DSTV has more subscribers in Nigeria than Southafrica?

Lol! Please hike it and see how the alternatives begin to be patronised.

I just bought three free to air disc one for Movies, one for news and the other for sports. I don't even know much about it or how it works because my son introduced it to me. But it cost us 300k+ for purchase and installations. Started using since november and up till now, we've paid no dime for subs because there ain't any. I wonder why people can't just switch.
Pls, can you help?
I will like to do like you.

Three 1.8m dishes

Names of Decoders
1. ViewSAT HD FTA
2. Unique SAT Ultra HD
3. Digicom 9000 HD

Satelites
1. MultiTV (Astra2F) - 242 Channels
2. MegaChoice - 180 Channels
3. EutelSAT16A - 300 Channels
We do switch satelites at time so there are about 14 more satelites to hook up to if you get the right frequencies.

features
Hollywoods, Bollywood, entire Asian & Africanwoods, etc.
Live and replay football matches, soccer, tennis, Bleep (keep remotes away from minors), CNN, BBC, most Asia, Europe including Russian national & state TVs, WWE, WMA, Church preaching, children lesson & studies, space explorations, desert studies, discoveries, history channels, cartoons, and many more.

You must be satisfied with whatever you want to watch.

You need constant electricity. As for me, I have an 8000watts Solar and a 5000watts vertical wind turbine systems installed.

So, without light, you may not enjoy it as supposed.

You should tell Nigerians to pay more since South Africans are paying more

Same way they justified hike in school fees because US UK pay more πŸ™„πŸ™„

It is DSTV that will approve minimum wage for your country?

The diesel they use to run their company in Nigeria is ten times cheaper than in Southafrica?

What about the purchasing power of the two countries?
What about the minimum wage of the two countries?
What about the currency strength of the two countries?

We should put these things into two consideration when comparing the two countries?

Nigerian market is larger and DSTV make more profit in Nigeria because of the large population we have and number of subscribers. Only 10 states in Nigeria is bigger than South African market.

Do u know that South Africa pays her unemployed monthly

They house and feed their unemployed eg those hostel guys. The minimum wage is high, good employment opportunities , social and healthcare subsidies and respect for the citizens.

Some tribes known as bush people still build huts and camps in major cities and business area and government respect their lifestyles

Over here is poverty , insecurity ,bad infrastructure etc. The only advantage that keeps some companies in Nigeria is our high population.
