when Landmark built that business the original design for the road was suppose to be in front, all of a sudden they change it to the back.

Landmark should sue them to court to pay for the remainder of the bsuiness.

I dont think any sane person will invest in Lagos, when u can go and invest in Ghana or Sierra Leone or Senegal and your investment wont be turn to tribal bigotry

People dont come to Nigeria, they go to other African countries, like Ghana, Kenya, South Africa even Uganda etc. He should pack up Land Mark and move to another African country.

The coastal road that will not get to SS could have followed the original design and pass behind landmark.

Tinubu targeted landmark, its too obvious.

Oniru beach was also affected why are you not wailing about it?

If Tinubu wants to target landmark, he will destroy the whole building and property not just the beachfront and nothing will happen

The original plan for the costal road according to Umahi goes through SE but the President have told him to remove the SE because it will no longer be a coastal road if the SE is included.

Can u imagine?

Which part of SE is coastal? Abi you think say any part gully erosion takes place must be coastal

Lol any business that hinders development needs to go down. Even Peter Obi your lord said the same thing on video when he was busy demolishing properties in Anambra to build roads.

We’ve been hearing this nonsense “Closing business” since 2000, yet Lagos wax stronger by the day.

Lagos is too big to notice all this roforofo talks.

Na everytime dem dey close business yet if you check Fadeyi bus terminal today you will see something different

That is what the government should do. I trust USA.

You’ll encroach on public properties and still be blackmailing the government. They go don slam am with crazy fine that will run him out of balance.

In USA Govt has the power to take away someone's private property for public use, with “just compensation.” in a process called Eminent Domain

Is that not the justification? Include a little more so its not obvious.

For a country in need for tourism, why destroy the most viable tourist location?
You're talking as if that's the only location in Lagos there's a beach.

Have you been to Lagos before?

Watch from 39:40, listen to what this African American from the Carribean have to say about Tinubu demolition of Landmark.

U know they think it is Igbo dey are dealing with but the whole world is watching and so is God.

Soon, to find investors in Nigeria will be like winning lottery.

Nigerians themselves will invest in other African countries leaving Nigeria behind.

There are numerous other beaches in Lagos. Tinubu is doing fine.

The Lagos coastal road is important, it will open up the coastal areas to development.

Yoruba have become a problem to Nigeria with tribalism.

If Tinubu had been from another tribe, you would have started lock down lagos protest, but here you are telling us it is ok to duplicate 1 road, destroy multimillion dollars business and waste Federal Loan money.

It is not going to end very well for you yoruba.,

If u look at this picture, after destroying Landmark bsuiness because he is Igbo, they then rejoin the main route.

Now the same road is in front and at the back, where is that done.

Is Landmark the only beach resort being affected? What about that owned by the Oniru family?
The map you are using there - can you not see that the set backs mean that several high rise buildings would be impacted?

Finally have you read the National Environmental (Coastaland Marine Protection) Regulations 2011 gazetted by a PDP government?

What is happening here is the cry that if I build $100m edifice and nobody stopped me, it should be allowed to stay even if it contravenes the law.

The reason Heathrow and Gatwick are among the world's busiest airports is simply because different UK governments compulsorily acquired land in the "overriding public interest" In the case of the coastal road there was NO compulsory acquisition because the land belongs to the FGN.

If as the CEO of a company with independent shareholders, I build on land belonging to the government and I lose that building what would happen to that CEO? What action would an independent board take? Your guess is as good as mine.

The moral is - do not imagine that friends will be in power forever - do what is right and then defend it in court with your blood. Let's not put unnecessary emotion in what is a poor evaluation of risk by the Landmark CEO. A $200m investment does not give you higher rights than a poor man who builds a wooden house under a power line. That is the country we need to build.

If the FGN shows inconsistency in any area after this, then let us light them up. For now, they have done nothing wrong.

I don't have a problem with you dividing the country that is you have the power to, that aside.

Why are some of you igbos so mischievous n devilish ? Where in the video for Umahi claim Tinubu told him reconfigure the road away from the SE ?

What is also wrong with the explanation that moving the coastal road away from the coast means it is no longer a coastal road ?

Do you have more intelligence than Umahi that made that that choice on behalf of millions of Nigeria or who should have the right to design the road ? Does that never deem it fit to embark on the project or those that believe the country could be transformed with the project n invested trillions they could have looted with your likes not able to do a thing about it.

Who should have that right ? Is it a you that is nobody, you that never wished those undertaking the project well ?

U have destroyed the Igbo man business, u can go and rest now.

Nothing they will tell u to stop u performing that wicked act.

U have done it now, congrats, u also now have two roads, one in front and the new one at the back.

Original route was suppose to be the one in front but wickedness will not allow you pass front, without destroying the Igbo man business.

After u destroy the business then you rejoin the road in front.

White people better pass you evil blacks.

White will never do such to their fellow white or investment in their country.

Otherwise, Arabs wont be investing there. Even a yoruba man bought Gatwick airport there.

So they should have destroyed the valid properties in the front and not the encroachment at the back.

Do you know how much it will cost to compensate the owners on the main Street compared to that at the back that are all illegal structures ?
