SUSPENDED SENTENCE
He has already been indicted of crime and found guilty. Here's part of the conditions:

Reid was ordered not to contact Helen Hayes MP in any way for two years.

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £154.

That's a lot of money for such a lowlife bully and will struggle to pay it.

The Prosecutor may even appeal the judgment asking for more severe punishment. The bottomlinine is democracy doesn't condone cyberbullies and criminal libel everywhere including here in Nigeria.

Mpanyi:

Quit the low self esteem and inferiority complex, crime is crime. If you do the crime, you face the music. It's the strength of the evidence and how it's presented before the Judge that count.
My advice to you is to stay off crime of cyberbullying, you will not die if you are decent and law-abiding even here in Nigeria. They are oyinbo doesn't mean they are better than you.

For the ignorant , unpatriotic and uncouth tribal/ religious bigot, here's the other side of democracy; you are not free to trample on the rights of others because you have access to the cheap internet.

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!

And for wise you, this is about death threats. Death threats should be taken seriously. However the circumstances of the threats and the person behind it were put into consideration. That's was some civilized folks.

We are getting there.

The day the security agencies would touch the headless mob, those fond of desecrating the office of the president is minus one today....

If your parents failed in instilling common sense in you, you would learn outside.

Nigerian media has more free speech. As long as you do not rely on the government for your income.

The tabloids do worse.

On British Tv a journalist personally abused a female journalist without charges.

USA it's a public figure and always happens.

A suspended jail term, also known as a suspended sentence, is a legal term that means a person has been convicted of a crime and sentenced to a term of imprisonment, but the sentence is not carried out immediately. Instead, the sentence is "suspended" or put on hold, and the person is allowed to remain in the community under certain conditions.

Here are some key points to understand about suspended jail terms:

- The person has been found guilty of a crime and sentenced to a specific term of imprisonment (e.g., 12 months).
- The sentence is suspended for a specified period (e.g., 2 years).
- During this time, the person must comply with certain conditions, such as:
- Community service
- Probation
- Counseling or treatment
- Curfews or restrictions on movement
- Regular check-ins with a probation officer
- If the person complies with all conditions and does not commit any further offenses during the suspension period, the sentence will be considered served, and they will not have to go to jail.
- If they fail to comply with the conditions or commit another offense, the suspension can be revoked, and they will be required to serve the original sentence in jail.

Suspended jail terms are often used to give people a chance to rehabilitate and make amends for their crimes without serving time in prison, while still holding them accountable for their actions.

True, but hope that trampling on the rights of others doesn't include people voicing out against unfavorable government policies and corruption as seen in our country presently?
