EmeeNaka:
This is not a good news. The APC regime is bereft of ideas. They're run by charlatans and emergency lovers of Nigeria who are bent on borrowing unserviceable amount of loans to build white elephant projects, all in the name of developing their own region. The amount of loans that have been lined up for borrowing will make this current situation a child play in future.
Can you kindly explain how this is not a good news?

Who obtained the debt?
Re: Debt Service Gulps 70% Of Dollar Outflow In Q1 by jiz: 7:25am On May 11
No government regime are innocent but this is worst under APC because almost all borrowed money were looted by same government and you know these. If they have used the money as intended we would have seen the dividend

Here we go, Pdp was a saint party which didn't borrow a dime.

See, we can't progress as a country if our arguments are always one sided

The use!ess government you support increased the amount due to bad policies. Did you read the articles to see how much percentage was paid previously in 2023?

What do you expect. You expect it to be filled with happy people celebrating? Your evil gov has turned us all into enemies. Lock 10 men in a room and give them just a slice of bread and see if they don't turn to enemies.
The problem is we're all online warriors
Most of the fights and abuses on nairaland is based on personal interest if our anger is genuine we could have hit the street by now.
And again there's no gain insulting each other on a faceless forum

It is now Tinubu administration not the PDP or the APC. Is it Tinubu's administration that created the sources of revenue he is benefiting from? You are of a kind, you accepted asset but rejected liability. Nigeria cannot move forward with this kind of mentality.

There is nothing wrong with fighting for your personal interest. Nothing can be more genuine than that. Again what good can come from hitting the streets? All most Nigerians can afford is this faceless forum so I don't blame anyone.

Again, talk about your present situation, don't use it to judge others.

We knew government don't put food on masses table, hence face our hustle, whatever government policy shall favour us IJN.

Nigeria is a capitalist country, riches are the priority, democracy is just another set of scam as USA proofed that to the world.

If 70% of Americans can be against the congress passing $8bn or so in foreign aids while there are millions of Americans homeless, yet the bill was passed , one of many, the. what such of democracy is that where the opinions of the masses do not matter .

It's time for Nigerians to accept the reality and stop blaming government about their woes, they have never cared, why waiting for miracle this time?

A friend always give excuse of no light, I asked him a simple question, back then when we were in the same street of Lagos hustling, was there stable light, he said no,so if decades after , you are still waiting for NEPA to bring light without you having alternative, then he must be the unserious one here not the Nepa
Oga did you just say "whatever government policy shall favour us IJN."
First this is using the name of God in vain.
You reap what you sow. Evil policies do not favour the people.
Claiming that the policy of putting the nation in debts that can't be repaid will favour us is basically mocking God.
Then you went on to blame America for all your problems. Somehow your government are the good people but the problem is America. You guys are very interesting.

But they're obtaining more loans (that end up being looted anyway) which will be serviced by future governments. And those future governments will blame the past and the present government while obtaining loans of their own which will still end up being looted. So you see we're stuck in a wheel bro.

Why is nairaland full of fights and insult nowadays? One can't read through a thread in peace unlike before without seeing insults or fights.
We know we're all suffering but at least some of the dragging and insults is not necessary please.

Could you remember when Nairaland went down some months back? During that time,We have tested how sweet and calming life is without bigotries/insults.

And the funny thing is that the server was taken down as a result of such thing ne oo 😔

They are, actually.

We borrow to fix roads. E.g. $100 was borrowed with interest and we need to pay payback with $, how do we source for the $? We only export crude say that makes up $70 of the initial amount borrowed, where do we source for the remaining $30?

We import wood for furniture, metal, plastic raw materials, gum, paper, rice, yam, clothing, laptops, desktops, necklace, wedding bands, my brother, the list goes on on... sad

O yes, I forgot, emorse pointed that out also - $50 will be looted because the leaders also don't trust the system and want to buy a safe haven for themselves outside Nigeria.

Some people can't take other opinions and always want others to align with their views. The last presidential election truly exposed them. Unforgiveness is disturbing them.

No regret in choosing Jagaban.

They can keep wailing.....7 more years to go before we pass the baton to shettima.
