What an interesting response from the former Commissioner. Quite surprising to read that the former state executive council suspended the airport project due to objection from traditional rulers in the state. In other words, the entire members of the state executive council lacked the wisdom to know the proposed airport project was not a priority to the state. who is fooling who? 3 Likes |

I believe this story. Otti is just doing media trial as to rubbish the wonderful achievements of Dr Okezue Ikpeazu. Otti is envious of the achievement S of ikpeazu. The Airport project was suspended and the funds channelled into numerous infrastructural projects. Ikpeazu constructed over Eight thousand roads, construction Three thousand schools. Ikpeazu increased workers salaries above the 30k minimum wage. Ikpeazu built a world class hospital in all LGA of Abia state. For over 25yrs, the Port Harcourt Road Aba was not motorable but Dr Ikpeazu constructed the road . Otti should focus on his numerous substandard roads and leave Ikpeazu alone. Abians will continue to miss and remember Ikpeazu fir his remarkable achievements unlike his predecessor's. |

One thing any reasonable person would agree is that this guy had a near perfect answer to the allegations. As much as I am not from Abia, I think governor Otti may even mess up this investigation by jumping the gun. If there was an allegation, the full report should be made public but auditing state account without asking questions of those in government at the time or tracing the said funds is totally an irresponsible move by the government. Present the damn full comprehensive reports and let EFCC do the rest. I hate when leaders play too much politics, the guy raised some questions that I think Otti will never be able to answer sha. These guys stealing our funds are just smart I swear. |

Nemere2020: If Gov Otti leaking the so-called forensic documents to let Abians know what transpired when Ikpeazu was governor, so be it and for the good of Abians. What manner of State governor would allow Portharcourt road in Aba to be closed? Ikpeazu did. The decadence which Aba was abandoned to become by the govt of Ikpeazu is similar to what is going on now in Imo state's 2nd largest urban centre- Orlu. Who goes to lead a state and bears old grudges and grievances against a section of the state? 2 Likes |

Such an elucidating rebuttal. The parties involved Abia Traditional Rulers The Construction company UBA Former Exco members Are still alive, they should confirm this and the governor should rather investigate the road projects 1 Like |

Commissioner for information misinforming the public and defending the indefensible.Exco approved the borrowing of #10 billion for a specific project with a heading, that's airport. It took the traditional rulers to let exco know their stupidity in investing on an unavailable airport at a time the state was just recovering from COVID-19 even with viable airports surrounding Abia State. When you were woken from your stupidity, you didn't realize that exco had to officially stop the first approval or better still officially amend the approval for a new project, yet you went into spending spree for money meant for airport with official heading as approved by exco. The staggering amount was also supposed to have the legislature's approval. This is what is called misappropriation of funds in public accounts and you must refund the money. Useless people who ruined Abia State, here with even more useless propaganda in crazy and crap defense. Ndi oshi. 1 Like |
