What baffles me most is all our supposed patriotic security apparatus that should have the interest of Nigeria at heart but watch a Single man destroy the Country with a self-centered policy that does not benefit anyone but only him and his syndicate. What is really going on.

Even neighbouring African countries parasiting on Nigeria via economic sabotage are rubbing it off on us by rejecting the naira as a means of foreign trade. You can steal mandate but can't govern with it.

The solution is local production and that's far from us right now. We are in disarray and cannot do anything tangible with our current mindset. Imagine 100 checkpoints on less than 100km of road. Average of 700m between checkpoints. Yet we lack uniform men to combat insecurity that is impeding production locally. Those posted to the border are colluding to allow goods in and out. Those not posted to borders simply line themselves up on road leading to the border and do as they please.
When we even say local production, what kind of production is currently profitable in naija with the current cost of production? I dare say there is no factory that is producing at a profit now, even hotels, schools etc. If you are involved in such as I am in a little way, you will know. Most are just struggling to stay afloat. Cost of power takes 70% of your income especially diesel. You must run generators at 1200-1400 per liter. Imagine running eg 100, 250kva gen sets. What about big hotels, factories running 1000kva gens. Omo, that one you blow 33,000 liters in few days! What are you producing, cocain?
While costal highway is good, but imagine the pressure releasing trillions to contractors will cause on the naira. Eg, if you release 1t mobilization, what do you think the first thing contractor will do? Is it not to change the money to preserve its value and also import foreign components? Will naira not crash?
Abeg the whole thing taya me. undecided

Op, Buhari govt shut land borders at Badagry, Idiroko......starting from 1st January, 2017 tio date, and not 2019 as stated. Naija is so corrupt that, even when you get to ECOWAS building at Seme border, you only see naija security outfits, looking for mugus to devour, their counterparts from Benin republic had to leave the space and move to the last gate(frontier) leading to their land

How many times have I shouted here that cefa had overtaken naira. The agbadorians thought it was a joke.

There's nothing the clueless government hasn't blamed for the free fall of the naira,. Instead of...

Killing corruption

Reducing government excesses and cutting the NA allowances, etc

Reducing and collapsing ministries.

Stopping unproductive loans

And the major one, curbing insecurity. No investor will bring their money to countries where investors are being kidnapped for ransom taking. This is one of the major reasons Naira is falling. Curb insecurity and see them coming uninvited

They know the solution but they'd never go that way. Na revolution fit these animals
