Never exit your car without switching off the engine and pocketing the keys if you are not in a safe/known area.

This also applies to ungated estates

The thief can still collect the car key at the gunpoint.

It's a sin to not have tracker fitted in vehicles.

Nigerians usually do not take their security serious. Mobile tracker cost average of 60k to 80k as one-off investment. We sell this and many other companies also do.

With the devaluation of Naira, vehicles are no longer as cheap as before, the police are helpless, why are we also very careless with our assets?

With the mobile tracker installed in the car, it becomes very easy to recover both the child and the vehicle seamlessly.

The child and vehicle would have been tracked and the criminals arrested within minutes or hours of the theft.

Only in nigeria you will see a N40million naira vehicle and the owner finds it hard to install mobile trackers of less than N100k to protect the asset. And same owner will blame the police who do not even have fuel in their car to pursue the thieves.

How can you go along with your child to open the gate? Something that won't take more than 30 seconds to do

oga security is a community effort..... If a child gets missing abroad, you'll see the whole community forming a search party and posting missing person photos around... If influencers don't make d news go viral, if u see d child 2mrw, u might walk pass him/her... No be everything u go dey abuse Nigeria for... Kai

He was in front of the gate of his house!

A gated estate has a main gate. Your house in the estate has its own gate. The implication is the thief first has to get past your estate gate and loiter around your house. Then snatch your car and drive your car to the estate gate where the security will immediately recognise that there are strangers in your car, especially as they just saw you a few minutes ago

Do you understand now?

If you do not live in a gated estate you have only two layers of security. Your fence and your house. A gated estate provides three layers as thieves have to pass the gate first and also get the car out of the estate.

That is why for night owls your biggest risk of getting your car stolen is while outside the estate gate at 2am waiting for security to open up.
