That's the truth. You guys thrive in tribalism and nepotism.
Even those monikers here in nairaland who are against Peter Obi or the collective desires of the general public are not good people.
How can such people work for the betterment of the public?

I hope Russia is in alignment, otherwise, you need to route through Chad as Niger will just be watching.

Secondly, Senators and reps from SE should start demanding 50% resource control now, otherwise, let the pipes carry air.
did the project start from South East?

Nigerian leaders are so stupid. With the severe electricity deficit in the country, the one resource we have available to overcome the power crisis is what they are frittering away in a senseless manner.
Why can't Morocco use ships to come and buy gas like others if they are really interested instead of taking pipelines through a long and dangerous route?
Re: $25 Billion Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline Project Advances Into Northern Section by viodemus: 7:01pm On May 15
igbo people gas and oil too dey sweet everybody to collect at their choosing.

When the dust settles in the great region, those arabians will be paying market price or else that pipeline deal will be null and void.

Why's the entire discussion on this thread about the south east? Is it genuine ignorance at play or just a deliberate attempt at mischief? Cos the last time I checked, over 90% of Nigeria's current gas production is currently from the south-south.

Ibo posters made it about their region when there are gas all over Nigeria. Lagos, Ondo/Ogun (olokola and tongeji island) all have huge Gas Reserves including those from the South south. There are tons of gas offshore Nigeria as well e.g. brass

Peter Obi and his people are against Costa highway, the only most important project that will favour people of south south since inception of this country.

All you guys know is to conquer. You hate the people of south east but you love their oil/gas. Same as chopping VAT from alcohol.
In all the region in the south, the SE has lowest contribution in terms of oil and gas.

Which region is the gas deposit in? I hope it's not South East

discusant:

Northerners mine the gold and other minerals in the north for Northerners.

Nigeria wants to mine and pipe the gas from the SE to whoever.

ebufa:

All from Gas deposits in Alaigbo but surprise surprise not 1 inch of pipeline into any town in South East.....Ohaneze is a useless body I swear!
...

discusant:

Worse is after tampering with the geological framework and ecosystem in the SE zone through mining and piping away these gas deposits, and gully erosion crops in to the SE states.
As you can see from image below. It's not coming from the SE.

Europe reliance on Russia will be further reduced.

It's as though Europe want to have a large number and not be held at gunpoint by a single country.

Algeria I am certain supplies large amounts of gas to Europe. Morrocco is right beside Algeria and share a common border but thry are sworn enemies.

I have an honest question for You

Did You hear about the Oil deposit that was founded by the Russians in Antarctica but owned by the British ?

If yes, what if the British/Europe have oil reserves that they don’t want to touch just like the USA does, but waiting for other countries to sell to Them with the ‘paper’ money that they just can print out of thin air ?

Furthermore, what if they’re waiting for Our oil deposits to dry up so We would now depend on Them ?

Tell your readers where else you have huge natural gas deposits in Nigeria to tap for export, except in the SE + rest of the Niger delta region.

Those of you who eager to see a new Nigeria, through restructuring, it's like that dream ends in the Dreamland, the corrupt criminals in charge of governance will only protect their interests and use the head of the poor masses as toilet bin..

Your type normally tells us that proceeds from Lagos ports sustain Nigeria, not crude oil from the Niger delta region. Most Shophistiwretched.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu moved all over the SW region for more than 15 years from 1999 asking for political restructuring of Nigeria, because he understood that the extant political structure created by military fiat is a fraud.
Tinubu is now president of Nigeria, talk of political restructuring of Nigeria is like it has evaporated into the Atlantic ocean.

The countries it will pass through are mentioned. The pipeline with traverse the coast so its not even close to Niger or Chad.

Misplaced Priority... Your country is complaining that there's no gas to Power ur own Power Plant and now you are creating gas pipeline to serve other countries what you deliberately denied ur own ppl... May God help us in this country... This is wickedness of the highest order.... No Light everywhere in Nigeria... No single State can burst of 24/7 Power supply in 37 States... Chai... I weep for Nigeria... Infact Not even a Single Local Government in 774 LGAs have 24/7 stable power supply... Shared wickedness among our Leaders... This embarrassing.
