No one dies of plastic surgery. People die from plastic surgery (especially electives) due to incompetent surgeons.
what was the procedure the "incompetent doctor" was performing when this lady died? why have all the clients of this doctor not died as a result of the doctors incompetence?

She is NOT a registered nor qualified Plastic surgeon. She is just a medical officer. She is not licensed to carry out such surgeries.

Thank u. i tried to find the information about her being an unlicensed doctor before commenting but didn't find it. I thinnk I remember the case about 3, 4 years ago... Didnt know it hadn't been concluded yet. Thank you.

By law, a doctor is licensed to carry out any medical or surgical procedure, whether she has the specialist qualification or not.
However, competence in carrying out the procedure is a different matter, and that is where a specialist qualification may be an advantage.

If people's self esteem is intact, would they be looking for someone to front for them and write their research book?

Yes.

This has to do with time.

I really find it amusing when people bring non relevant issues to a different topic on Nairaland.

Let's talk about the issue at hand and judgement given be appraised and discussed so current practitioners, cosmetic surgery patronizers, etc can learn. Please don't water down the topic at hand.

Go to Quora and see how people only stick to issues being posted. Na so e suppose be.
NL is going into extinction. Quora and Reddit is the new rave

U don't talk carelessly like that... what if it was a necessary health surgery that led to her death. The point is ds doc would still have been careless.

Yes, u can then advise people to not go for unimportant surgeries

And you will still submit your life to a doctor that has the potential to be careless because you on your own cannot help yourself.

Honestly, I ran from one popular Nigerian site back then because of this issue(the site is now almost dead). See how people comport themselves on foreign media like Quora you mentioned, always sticking to the topic. Nairaland was such a beauty the first time I stumbled upon it, but now it's a shadow of itself, going in the same direction as that dead site.
You may read a topic like; MAN FINDS COCKROACHES IN HIS HOT AFANG SOUP, next, you see comments like,
" I blame Agbadorians, or it is bitter Obi blah blah blah. They don't want to talk about the hot soup or cockroaches anymore.

You're correct 💯. If care is not taken, NL would go that way soon. The tribalism and bigotry is just too much here. It has reached toxic levels
