Ogun state is going down economically. Foreign investors are flying away from the state like birds on a distressed tree.
Imo state is rich in oil and gas, has the highest gas deposit in Nigeria

I feel sorry for these southern states that think the north is not rich

Kano should be number 3. The trading going on is at an international level. It’s the biggest receiver of imports from Niger republic. Kano state’s revenue is up there. But undeclared revenue is the biggest source of stealing, not budgeted funds. That one EFCC can’t trace

Gombe, Kogi, Bauchi and Borno have oil
Zamfara has gold
Kaduna, Nasarawa have lithium
Zamfara, Borno and Kaduna have a lot of minerals being mined in the areas bandits have taken over. Chinese people fly in freely into these conflict areas. Lebanese too have been caught flying raw gold and dollars out of the country

And some olodos that do not understand context and relativity will want to compare states like Abia where the governor is really trying and being innovative with the tiny wealth he has to Lagos that has already been well placed by the nature of being once our capital.
Lagos government are a shame with what they do with the much they have

Dundee grin Lagos is a cosmopolitan state that is backed by every single tribe in Nigeria. Stop claiming superman. Go and create another Lagos in ekiti and come back to brag about your tribal powers.

South West have 3 states in the top 10, plus Lagos that beat all the states even if they combined.

If you think Yoruba aren't topping then you are delusional

Here we are. The figures are speaking for themselves. So Ogun GDP is no more than the SE combined as alleged? GDP is the real assessment index of economic development of a state or nation and not the IGR the taxman of Lagos is inflicting on the nation. Even the current Lagos own @ present is based on the fact that it is a fallout of it being a former capital territory of Nigeria.

GDP is not the real assessment for economic development.

It is GDP per Capita (population) that assesses the level of economic development.

Ordinary GDP only measures the level of economic activity(growth) in an economy.
