Four people have been presumed dead while four other persons sustained varying degrees of injuries in a crash that occurred on Sagamu- Ikorodu road.

The fatal crash which occurred at twenty minutes to four on a Sunday afternoon involved a wine Toyota Sienna with registration number LND945EL and White Convoy Bus with registration number AKD232XV

The Public Education Officer, Federal Radio Safety Corps, FRSC, Ogun sector command Mrs Florence Okpe confirmed the crash in a statement in Abeokuta.

Mrs Okpe who noted the suspected causes of the crash were speed and wrongful overtaking which led to rear collision of the two vehicles said the injured victims were taken to Dasochris Hospital, Gbaga, Ogijo, while the family took custody of the corpses.

She pointed out that the Sector Commander, Mr Anthony Uga sympathized with the family of the crash victims and advised motorists to desist from overspeeding and give total attention to driving, as it is very important to be sure of when to overtake and not at will.

He encouraged motorists to ensure road markings on overtaking are obeyed.
