**Applauds Governor Mbah's Appointment Decision**

The Traditional Ruler of Edem-Ani Autonomous Community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Ìgwè Sir Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, has been applauded for his outstanding contributions to the economic growth of his community as well as the state.

The Igwe-elect of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Chief Aloysius Chidozie Ogbonna Jnr, Ikemba - Enugu, made this commendation in a congratulatory message to the monarch, to commemorate his inauguration as the Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers.

Recall that Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah of Enugu State had in March 2024 appointed Igwe Asadu as the new Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, alongside His Royal Highness, Igwe Julius Nnaji – first Deputy Chairman; His Royal Highness, Igwe G. N. Madu – second Deputy Chairman, and His Royal Highness, Igwe Hebert Ukuta – third Deputy Chairman.

In his statement, Chief Ogbonna posited that Igwe Asadu has all it takes to deliver on the task owing to his track record of leadership excellence and community development.

Chief Ogbonna highlighted some of the monarch's notable achievements since his emergence in December 2022, including the financial empowerment of 63 youths in his town with a sum of ₦1 million each to start their own businesses, as well as his facilitation of further education for eight first-class graduates from his community abroad for advanced studies, with four more students set to depart for the United States and the United Kingdom in the coming months.

He further stated that Igwe Asadu's leadership has not only inspired his immediate community but also set a standard for traditional rulers across the state.

Chief Ogbonna expressed confidence that under Igwe Asadu's chairmanship, the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers would witness significant progress and foster unity among the traditional institutions in the state.

He also applauded Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for always putting round pegs in round holes with his appointment, saying that Ìgwè Asadu's leadership will enhance governance at the traditional level.

Dear Ìgwè Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu,

On behalf of the people of Ogugu Ntu-egbenese Ancient Kingdom in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your inauguration as the Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers by His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State.
