We need to wrap up loan deals, who is staying, who is leaving and who is joining at least by early August, so we don’t suffer another bad start to the season with another bloated squad. When there is a lack of clarity with the squad it makes it even more difficult to focus on the new season.

By now, Arteta should have seen enough of Pepe to decide what he wants to do with Pepe. If he is going then put him up for sale or offer him to clubs, if the plan is to recoup some of the money, if not then let’s know. Same applies to Niles and others.

If Arteta has identified his targets, let’s get the ball rolling on the guys with concrete conversations. I hate last minute transfers because they are difficult to integrate into the team with the exception of mentally tough guys who can adapt quickly.

We need 2 quality midfielders, there is understating that, anything short of 2 quality midfielders and a good striker is going to be a failed transfer and a recipe for a bad season . We can say Torreira fulfills depth/ competition.
