@Cloaked, OCT 31 is the deadline JAMB gave for the completion of 2012 Admission but dont expect OAU to go by this date.

GOOD MORNING GUYS. @cloacked it is truely october 31st i read it in today punch ooo. But OAU would only released its list when it want to, dat date doesn't matter with OAU OOO. last year OAU still release some list in january sef.

@Wizzardprince... I cant say there's 100% guarantee for ELDS candidates wu met only the ELDS cut-off but didnt meet d merit cut-off. But, it's a criteria from JAMB which OAU may decide to follow or not to follow. That's why I said u shud nt stop praying. If u av any1 on campus, tell him or her to help u ask in the admission office for further clarifications.
@Bro MOSET, we have not heard of some cut-off marks o. Law,Education,Sciences,Social-Sciences,Environment & Design. I have not known if I met the cut-off for Law wit 273.5agg. Pls, if u av the cut-off marks, do us a favour by posting it here. Thanks bro

I did like 2 let every1 here know dat oau has its own ethics.The merit list is comprised of both the original merit cut off point,catchment area cut off point and elds.the original merit point is for those that dont find themselves under any catchment area or elds.i knw sm1 4rm taraba who's currently writing exams in oau and was admitd last year with 222.cos dat was d cut off point 4 is state elds.so dnt get freak out if u hit cut off 4 elds or catchment area.

What a misleading information! Don't relay things you are not sure of. The fact is, all those fortunate to beat all the stipulated cut-off marks will definitely find their names on merit list...
Now, supplementary list is for those who couldn't meet up with the cut-off marks but were able to pull some strings...
Mind you, ELDS cut offs are almost always low, reason bein dat competition is lower compared to d catchment areas. For instance, ao many ppl from Sokoto (as state of origin) do u expect to apply for a course that tens of ppl from Osun, Oyo nd d likes will do? Just few, if any.

Hi guys, if you didn't beat the cut off 4 ur desired course of study, you should have already started pushing papers and pulling strings. If you think you don't know anybody, just keep telling people you applied to OAU, you'd be suprised at how many strings you'd unearth (someone who knows some1 who will talk to some1). As 4 law and other departments who haven't seen their cut-offs, let not thine hearts be troubled. U shall definitely see it before wednesday next week. After that, we can all expect the merit list. Enjoy a swell weekend guys!!!

@ omowumi,i choosed oau 4 only 1st choice and my course was law wit 234.5 agregate,233 in jam n 236 in post jam.

I didnt just write wot I wrote witout having an experience of it. I have a frnd wu got admitted in Decemba last yr. He didnt meet d merit cut-off but he met d catchment and he was given the course he applied for. Also have a frnd wu tuk OAU as 2nd Choice nd his aggregate was even 20marks above his course merit cut-off mark, his admisn status changed in Decemba nd nt Septemba. But if u say so, I agree wit u. Does it mean he wasn't accepted despite his passing d cut-off with 20 marks? I want 2 know whether 2nd Choice candidates can gain admissn or not. Pls specify: Was he admitted or not?
