yea. it's on SR now with gory pictures i'm beginning to believe that this is more than a political battle. this is religious whether people believ it or not. what aches my heart is the govt will still sit by and watch bombings and genocide become a part of our national lives |

1, it was not a bomb or bombs 2. the shop was selling battery and gas cylinders 3. the CP has publicly announced to the world that it was not a bomb. 4. your casualty numbers are too high. even our not too objective media gave 7 death but the CP said one person killed |

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/12/explosion-causes-deaths-panic-in-kaduna/ Explosion causes deaths, panic in Kaduna on DECEMBER 7, 2011 · in NEWS KANO - (AFP) – An explosion killed an unclear number of people and caused panic in the northern city of Kaduna on Wednesday, residents and police said, but initial indications showed it was accidental. “Initially, we thought it was a bomb blast, but our preliminary assessment has shown that it was an accidental explosion from a repair shop dealing in car batteries and gas cylinders,” police spokesman Aminu Lawan said. “The explosion has led to some deaths and injuries.” A spokesman for the national emergency management agency said the scene was littered with mangled body parts that were being collected by rescue workers, but he could give no estimate on the number of dead. Kaduna, located in the mainly Muslim north, has been on edge since being hit by some of the worst rioting following April presidential elections won by President Goodluck Jonathan, a Christian from the south. Residents reported that the blast occurred in an area of the city mainly populated by Christian Igbos. “There was an explosion from a gas cylinder in one of the spare parts shops in the area and rumours went round the city that there was a bomb attack in the area,” Abdullahi Ibrahim, an iron vender, said by phone. “Because the area is largely populated by Christian Igbo traders dealing in spare parts and refrigerators, people thought the explosion was targeted at them. There was panic in some parts of the city …” Another resident gave a similar account. Three days of riots across the north immediately following April’s presidential elections killed more than 800 people, according to rights groups. The north has also been hit in recent months by scores of bomb blasts and shootings blamed on the Islamist sect known as Boko Haram. |

That's very sad. Funny that none of the posters have empathised with the victims; it's all matter-of-fact statements. Accidents/tragedy has become so commonplace in Naija that it no longer pulls at our heartstrings. |

Well, the perpetrators and their co-planners will only get three years in jail if caught. Human life is cheap in Nigeria as testified by our rulers behaviour. God look after us all, as it appears that there are no Angels left in Nigeria. |

Ribadu said that suicide bombers are rebels so what do you expect. We shall wait and hear the true account of things. I don't trust the police on a good day. In matters like Boko Haram, you can never trust an hausa/fulani officer to admit that it is a bomb but somehow even BH will soon claim responsibility if they're behind it cos terrorist take pride in their accomplishments. |
Re: Explosion In Kaduna. 15 Killed by Mkpotu(m): 3:20pm On Dec 07, 2011 |
@Splashbaby, there is no need for any revolution. Are you that cheap, if you concede to revolution what it means is that the agenda/motive behind the people causing all these mayhem is achieved. They are causing mayhem in order to discredit Jonathan and give impression that Northerners are the rightful people to occupy the position. |

ITS BOMB WO!!! CP SHUT UP PLEASE AND INVESTIGATE. BREAKING NEWS: Over 7 feared dead in Kaduna explosion At least 7 people died and many others were injured after an explosion this morning in Kaduna. Witnesses say 2 men riding on a motorcycle hurled an object which detonated shortly after they drove away around 9:30am into a shop located at No. 32, Ogbomoso road, near Ori Apata in the central area of Kaduna. However, Police Commissioner Ballah M. Nasarawa denies that it was a bomb, saying that items from within shop must have caused the explosion. According to the owner of the shop, Sunday Anigubo, his younger brother and three others whom he identified as Onyeka, Egbuka and an unnamed Hausa boy were among those in the shop when the explosion happened. Sunday denied that any item in the shop could have caused the explosion as he only sells spare parts of Peugeot vehicles and lorries. A crowd of close to 500 have converged at the scene of the incident and a police helicopter has been deployed, hovering above and conducting 'aerial patrol.' The wounded are being taken to Rakiya Specialist Hospital, near Magajin Gari. A total of ten shops were burnt in the ensuing blaze. Rescue efforts are continuing at the moment of filing in this report. source: http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=149420%3Abreaking-news-over-7-feared-dead-in-kaduna-explosion&catid=1%3Anews&Itemid=2 |

Re: Explosion In Kaduna. 15 Killed by Gbawe: 4:03pm On Dec 07, 2011 |
feelamong: Come on !!!! What kind of arrogant elitism is this? A man gainfully employed selling spare parts is a "Street urchin"? Kai , obvious why everyone aspires to be a "big man" in Nigeria. Being anything else carries no respect. Anyway, I would rather believe him , an eye witness, anyday than a "top govt official/security officer" . |
