What Can 500 Naira Buy In Today's Nigerian Market? by Kobojunkie: 5:19pm On Sep 27, 2007
Just wondering if you  could help me figure out what the value of the Naira is today in Nigeria. What can you actually purchase with 500 bucks in Nigeria today ??
I was out to lunch today and with the equivalent of N= 500, I noticed I could actually buy a lot if I wanted. I mean I could always go spend it at the dollar store and still get some really nice things for myself, I mean basic stuff. Got me wondering what the same amount or N=500 could buy today in the Nigerian Market. Can a person make 500 Naira a day and still do well??

I understand where your coming from. And people who know don't make it easier for you. You want simple answers to simple questions like as follows;

1. Cost of quality daily newspaper ,

2. Cost of a Glass of Beer in a Bar ,

3. Cost of a Decent Meal in a Cafe ,

4. Cost of a decent Meal in a Resturant,

5. Rent for a decent appartment in Victoria Island for one month ,

6. Typical Salaries of works

a, Store assistant

b, Taxi driver

c, Junior Banker\Stockbroker

d, Teacher

e, Engineer

f, Mechanic etc

From that information you could derive a lot of investment ideas, on a Commerical or Personal level.

Because As Oscare Wilde once said we ! Know the cost of everything, yet the value of nothing"
