| Re: . by Emperordynasty: 9:13pm On Sep 11, 2024 |
EreluRoz:It is said in benin that An oba is not made but born. If Arhuahan was destined to be Oba nothing would have seperated him from it, Many other obas have had contentions with the throne too Ewaure literally lost it, Ewaukpe lost his kingdom, Even Recently Eweke 11 had to contend with his chiefs and the british for his thronw But they all remained. Lookinh out the outcome of Esigie and Arhuahans life it is evident ESIGIE WAS BORN TO RULE BENIN AND ARHUAHUAN was not |

| Re: . by EreluRoz(op): 9:19pm On Sep 11, 2024 |
Emperordynasty:If his mother was more powerful than Iyoba Idia I'm sure it won't have happened. As a woman you have to be strong if you are a palace queen |
| Re: . by Emperordynasty: 9:22pm On Sep 11, 2024 |
EreluRoz:Idia was an exceptionally powerful woman Even after Esigie became king Before then The Oba's mother was to be killed once her son entersthe throne. But Esigie ended this babaric traditions and created the palace where all queen mothers now reside in Uselu Doing this helped Esigie because laterIdia would come out to help him spiritially and even physically during Esigie's war against Idah |
| Re: . by EreluRoz(op): 9:35pm On Sep 11, 2024 |
Emperordynasty:Yes iyoba Idia was just like one of my foremothers she actually manipulated the kinship as a princess from her father's house and gave her own son who was not entitled to the throne and that was how kinship shifted from that family to her husband's family, she was very powerful too and I had she had to render her brothers useless so as to be unfit for the throne and she played her games with the whites and the whites supported her son since she already made her brothers useless and unfit for the throne. Queen of those days sha, they are very powerful |
| Re: . by Emperordynasty: 9:42pm On Sep 11, 2024 |
EreluRoz:Life really seemed to favour idia Even 100s of years later she is still remembered FOR Good, this world sha |
| Re: . by EreluRoz(op): 9:46pm On Sep 11, 2024 |
Emperordynasty:Yes that's how it is, even my foremother is still being praised all over and also used as a good example for women. I think people tend to overlook their powers and what they did, they are more invested in the light they brought to their kingdoms. |
