I took my time to follow up this particular lady's post right from her first post and I'm seeing a different approach than your view.

I'm sure if it were to be a case of suicide, you will definitely be among the first people to blame her for not walking away or voicing out. Hypocrite.

@op, I don't pity women like you. Many of you endure nons.ense all in the name of marriage.

Why do you have to have kids with a chronic gambler? You think it's a child's play to save an addict?

If you like develop yourself, move on and stay strong for your children, if you like, you can stay weak so everyone including your old mother in-law to keep bullying you.

End things legally with him through divorce and move on with your life, let him clean up his mess as you are not his therapist.

When I worked in rehab facilities, I most times during family therapy sessions and right in the presence of addict husbands, encourage wives not to stress themselves coming to the rehab regularly.....they should relax themselves and be in a better state for their children, who need them more.

you are fully entitled to your opinion...
i, on the other hand, believe that she should have thrown out that useless bastard she calls "husband" a long time ago, and continue living (in that house) the life she had been living for the past 3yrs. no need to "supposedly" become homeless and put her children in jeopardy!

i will never feel sorry for someone WITH CHILDREN who decided to walk out of their home to become homeless... and now comes on NL to beg for handouts and help. i dont believe we should reward such behavior, as it is obvious the aim here is to get a pity party (same pity party she was looking for when she told us the story of her husband being lazy and jobless for 3 long years).
