Merry Xmas everyone,

Just got around to reading Nairaland rules, very funny how many of them are violated everyday,

RULE 1

Please use standard, proper, and clear English at all times when publicly discussing topics on the Nairaland Forum. If you must use other languages, create a special topic for that language in the culture section.

Reminder to posters on this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=816398.msg9682672#msg9682672
Top comment from the thread:
"There is nothing to rejoice here GEJ is a fool I haven't never see him sack anybody for incompetence, this man was only relieves off his duty to enable him concentrate on his political ambition. The man have perform whole-fully he should have been sack long time ago. There is no difference between GEJ and any Mallam (Dead Woods)"

RULE 2

Always aim for maximum clarity when composing content for the Nairaland, and try your best to adhere to all of the widely acknowledged Internet Posting Guidelines: avoid unecessary use of all caps, punctuate properly, break your posts into short paragraphs, use clear English (no slangs), et cetera.
Lmao @ no slangs. Nna menh, dat one go hard wella for we nigerians,

Nairaland is a discussion forum, and it is inevitable that disagreements with crop up from time to time. Please be nice and respectful to other members at all times and do not resort to personal attacks, false accusations, name-calling, and other unproductive forms of communication. We will also not allow any comments that promote hatred, violence, or murder against any race, ethnic or religion group, gender, intimate orientation, person, et cetera.

This year has seen more than its fair share of tribalism threads. Sometimes, one wonders if the admin do that on purpose to attract traffic ( PLS NO BAN ME O, na just my opinion.

So wetin be my point?

I believe a large number of us who are active on this site are Nigerians. As the new year comes grin, let's resolve to make more meaningful contributions to this beautiful site while trying as much as possible to adhere to these rules.
