Boko Haram: Judge faces sack
•May face trial over links to convicted sect’s spokesman

A judge from the North faces sack and possible trial for being sympathetic to Islamist sect, Boko Haram. Sources said yesterday that the judge had an alleged link with the sect’s spokesman, Ali Umar Konduga (aka Al-Zawahiri), who was sentenced to three years jail last week by an Abuja Chief Magistrate Court on a one-count charge after pleading guilty and begging for leniency.

The judge was also alleged to have links with Senator Ali Ndume, who was re-arraigned in Abuja yesterday, for alleged felony and the late Amb. Pinder. The jurist may be forced to resign, preparatory to his arraignment
A top government source, who spoke to Daily Sun on condition of anonymity, disclosed that the said judge from one of the northern states was discovered to have passed all judgments according to the dictates and manipulations of Boko Haram.

The source said the judge who was summoned to appear before security agencies, was presented with evidence of his culpability which included text messages to the sect, informing that he had delivered judgments according to their dictates, all of which he has not denied.

The source, who said the same evidence has been presented to the Presidency, disclosed that the judge who might be prosecuted, was asked to resign.
Meanwhile, as a follow-up to the recent Northern Peace Conference organized by the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) in Kaduna last week obviously held to break the suspicious silence from the North over Boko Haram, a meeting of all former National Security Advisers (NSAs), who are incidentally from the North, will hold today in Abuja.

The meeting was being convened to address the nationwide activities of militia groups that have the capacity to push Nigeria into disintegration if care is not taken, thereby fulfilling the predictions of international pessimists.
A top government source said that the parley which was at the instance of the Federal Government, was being planned against the backdrop of widespread suspicion across the country that the non-condemnation of the activities of the Boko Haram by prominent Northerners could mean their endorsement of the group. Boko Haram’s attacks had led to loss of lives and properties.

Senate President David Mark, in his remark at the peace conference, queried the silence of  Northern leaders and politicians to openly condemn the activities of the Boko Haram.
The immediate past NSA, Lt. Gen Aliyu Gusau (rtd), who was the Guest Speaker at the first Shehu Musa Yar’Adua memorial lecture at the weekend, called for the adoption of the right strategies to curtail current security challenges facing the country.

Gusau, who was confident that terrorism can be defeated, pointed out that Nigeria needs a multi-dimensional strategy to address the root causes of insecurity while suppressing the negative manifestation through appropriate use of national power.

He had stated that to make the country safe and secure, there must be a sound security strategy and investments in the requisite security infrastructure, adding that such strategy will determine how the nation employs the various elements of power to make the country safe and secure.
He is expected to throw more light on his kind of security strategy at today’s talks which holds in an undisclosed location in Abuja.
Others expected at the meeting include Alhaji  Ismaila Gwarzo, Alhaji MD Yusufu, Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed and Alhaji Sarki Bello.
The incumbent NSA, General Andrew Azazi, is also expected to attend the meeting.

Please bear this in mind that the government of president Goodluck Ebele Johnathan was for a purpose. God knew the reason He brought him there, i guess it is one of the ways to reveal all the layed down hidden plans of the past governments. Corruption had been on ground as well as boko haram. This is the revelation period.

Can you imagine a boko haramist sitting judge passing a three years jail term to a boko haramist soul wasted culprit? I wonder how many days he would have given to the so-called ali ndume-senator boko haram.

An UNNAMED judge presiding over an UNNAMED court,handing out judgements dictated by BH in UNNAMED cases,the story leaked or whatever to the SUN by an UNNAMED source.
