SLAVERY IS AUTHORIZED AND BLESSED IN THE BIBLE BY THE BIBLE GOD HIMSELF!!!

Leviticus 25:44-46
"However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way".

Exodus 21:2-6
"If you buy a Hebrew slave, he is to serve for only six years. Set him free in the seventh year, and he will owe you nothing for his freedom. If he was single when he became your slave and then married afterward, only he will go free in the seventh year. But if he was married before he became a slave, then his wife will be freed with him. If his master gave him a wife while he was a slave, and they had sons or daughters, then the man will be free in the seventh year, but his wife and children will still belong to his master. But the slave may plainly declare, 'I love my master, my wife, and my children. I would rather not go free.' If he does this, his master must present him before God. Then his master must take him to the door and publicly pierce his ear with an awl. After that, the slave will belong to his master forever".

Exodus 21:7-11
"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment".

Exodus 21:20-21
"When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property".

Ephesians 6:5
"Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ".

1 Timothy 6:1-2
"Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them".

Luke 12:47-48
"The servant will be severely punished, for though he knew his duty, he refused to do it. "But people who are not aware that they are doing wrong will be punished only lightly. Much is required from those to whom much is given, and much more is required from those to whom much more is given."

It is called YOKE of slavery. This means an apprentice who is under his boss should serve with all humility and diligence. The Bible says they should show respect to their masters (bosses) so that God's name will not be slandered.

Muslims always quote the Bible out of context. It will be very difficult for Muslim scholars to understand what a passage in the Bible its s saying. When you read a verse in the Bible, always make sure you read the preceding verse or even the whole chapter before coming to conclusion.

A lot of Imams would just open the Bible and look for faults or one area where the Bible says something they couldn't just comprehend. Pls Always ask a very well learned Bible student to explain those areas you guys don't understand. Don't just come here with your obvious ignorance and biased prejudice to negate the positivity of the Word Of God.

There were several-reasons why Jews enter servitude. Some voluntarily . Eg if A mAn takes a loan, and decides to serve the lender  to pay back. But if the year of jubilee comes ,he will be let go.

that is not "voluntary servitude" my friend.the loan or debt is obviously want compels him to sell himself into slavery.it is poverty!!!

But if the year of jubilee comes ,he will be let go.
after how many years elapses? six years of slavery? i think there are verses already presented that shed light on that slavery.

It is common for people with preconceived notions to always perceive a position as wrong without looking at the context.

we are slaves/servants to God Almighty who alone deserves absolute mastership over us for creating us and blessing us with the favor of life.we are not slaves to fellow men as you bible makes you.we muslims only bow to God.

Romans 6:16-18
New International Version (NIV)

16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

The type of Slavery advocated and practiced by the Ancient Israelites can never be compared to what the White Race did to the Black Race.

Foreigners definitely got a raw deal as Slaves, but what would a Foreigner be doing in Israel, except to act as a spy for invaders?

Slavery therefore was the greatest institution for integrating poor persons into society.
They would have a hands-on learning experience on how to set themselves up in business for life.
People who don't believe in God seize on the Slave-Treatment Commandments, as if they know better than God.
When you ask them how they should have handled the Slavery Institution were they the rulers of Israel,
you never see a sensible answer, if at all straight.

Obviously a typical candidate for slavery has no relatives to stand for them.
The famous exception to this rule is Patriarch Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his brothers, because of his Dreaming Skills.
(Dreaming is an important Spiritual Skill which the church has completely lost. I refer the serious to the books of Dr. Carlos Castaneda.)

Joseph's spiritual integrity led to him being the most trusted slave of his master. When this brought him into conflict with his master's adulterous wife, he was thrown into prison, but still maintained his integrity. Therefore he was in position to interpret three key dreams that made him Prime Minister of Egypt, and saved at least two nations from a deadly famine.

Without factoring in the Existence of God, it is useless to criticize The Bible. If any person feels that their lot in life (e.g. Slavery) is unjust, they can appeal to God, and have it changed. Daniel was a Slave in Babylon, and ended up seeing the overthrow of the king who enslaved him, and foreseeing the Future of the World to the End of the World.

If you ask an Unbeliever why the Slave should be "freed," you invariably get vague and silly answers.
What is so important about a slave's freedom? Remember that this Commandment is never mentioned by those who criticize Biblical Slavery:

.   DEUTERONOMY 23:15-16.

15. Thou shalt not deliver unto his master the servant
which is escaped from his master unto thee:
16. He shall dwell with thee, even among you,
in that place which he shall choose in one of thy gates,
where it liketh him best:
thou shalt not oppress him.

Was this the kind of Slavery practiced by the Whites?
