Corruption is what will make us (Nigeria) to run into financial troubles in this country, the Oil is still there & the appropriation of funds can only make us to be among the heathiest economy in the world if not Nigeria success is a mirage.

If the cost of refining and distributing a litre of petrol is truly N41/ltr, why is it so hard to get our refineries working?

If we consume 280,000 barrels/day, and our 4 refineries have a total output of 445,000 barrels/day, why kill them refineries?

If it will cost N30billion (inflated as usual) to repair our refineries, Why do we spend over a trillion Naira/year on subsidizing imported fuel?

If the cabal are so powerful that Jonathan can not confront them, then let him resign. Until we have a
Leader  that can face the cabal, removal of subsidy will make no difference. Why must The majority sacrifice for the few? It is the responsibility of the leader to bring evil people to justice. GEJ is simply running away from his responsibility as far as I am concerned.

He said he is not a pharoah 'to the cabal',  but he has proven to be worse than a pharaoh to ordinary Nigerians.

This is what I've been telling Nigerians for ages.

Forget about all the side shows, go for corruption.

Corruption is the only reason why Nigeria is fcukeddd up form A-Z.

Cabal brought Jona to power how is it possible for him to fight them when all his policies are being directed to favour the so called cabal. Jona has no gut to fight corruption because he is the leader of corruption presently

The "cabal" is not a handful of persons:

They are the Federal Ministries, the senators, the house of rep members, the police, the navy, the judges, the NNPC management, the secretaries and the gateman. EVery nook and crack of Nigeria, every body is looking for goverment money to share.

Complete deregualtion is the answer. They refine fuel here and collect subisdy on top and then smuggle the fuel out to make more money. The Costoms are involved.

Jonathan is on the spot here. I support him with all my heart. He has pulldown the paltform of the corruption. Yes, the effects are there, but there is light ahead of the tunnel.

the situation in Nigeria is so depressing.it seems elimination of corruption is something tht cannot be achieved in dis country.it jst seems impossible cos there is no transparency in govt.

i used to bliv things wld get better bt it seems to be getting worse.haba!!!! the greed, corruption and other vices is in depth.

i think d only solution wld be if all d forces in govt are eliminated including Jonathan like wht hpnd in Ghana.

Can't wait for this time next year or two years from now to see whether Nigeria progresses due to the fuel subsidy removal or corruption takes over as usual.
Re: Fight Corruption And Leave Subsidy Alone! by Nobody: 4:30pm On Jan 04, 2012
Let's just forward two jonathan's tenure end with subsidy removal in place. Do you really think the money obtained from the removal won't av been squandered yet again by our unfocused and selfish government.
Re: Fight Corruption And Leave Subsidy Alone! by ImaIma1(f): 4:32pm On Jan 04, 2012
der is no question about that. it WILL be squandered

Those are great questions and only our leaders will fart with their brain if they have one

WHO SHOULD SACRIFICE HIS/HER
COMFORT?
David Mark earns N600million a year,
GEJ & Namadi Sambo will eat N1billion
food in 2012 & fuel their cars for
N1.7billion while 200million was budgeted to water their residential
gardens.
Dis is not abt fuel subsidy, it is abt d
ruling class waging war on d Nigerian
masses. They can't claim our country is
broke when recurrent expenditure is increased by anoda N92billion, when
Dame Patient Jonathan spent N5billion
furnishing her office & wen d whole
budget is about their salaries &
allowances
