NLC has clarified that it did not get summons, neither was it represented at the Industrial Court where a Kangaroo judgment was pocured by FG nor served the ruling. From this clarification, its obvious that the federal govt is desperate, jittery and trying every option to twart the planned strike. This same govt never deemed it fit to consult with NLC before the fuel subsidy removal neither did it realise that the issue on ground is not industrial issue and therefore had no business going to the industrial court. If the people in Aso Rock are thinking properly, the regular courts should have been the place to go. But I think NLC is right to insist that there is no room for negotiation since the govt never deemed it fit to consult labour before the draconian and authocratic decision. From the foregoing, I want reactions from Nairanders on whether NLC should call off the planned strike based on this Kangaroo judgment procured by Govt through the back door or just go ahead with the strike, taking a cue from Oshiomhole in his days as NLC president who went ahead with similar srike saying he is not bound to obey a bad law.
