HISTORY IS ABOUT TO REPEAT IT’S SELF

The Saviour came but was not recognised by his own people, some called him fake others said he is the chief of the devils. The religious leaders of his own time who should know better incited the masses against him as they all cried “crucify him, crucify him”.
What was his offence?; He spoke some hard sayings and made hard decisions, and they all wondered “who can bear it?”. Unfortunately, they succeeded in killing him because their leaders promised them that another saviour is on his way. Over 2000 yrs later, the expected leader is still yet to come and will never come because he was with them but they did not recognise him.
Nigerians behold your Long awaited Goodluck, His decisions may be hard to bear but it will save us the troubles that are yet to come.
I know this president will be vindicated someday.

The more I sit with this issue, the more I understand that I don't know everything.
I don't know why GEJ made the decision, but i know he means well.

It is possible he played the only last card he had to change things for the better in naija. Could it have been done better? DAMN RIGHT YES!
Gradualism, slow-result-based-selling of the idea and decreased shock would have prevented all this.
But who knows maybe saboteurs would have frustrated gradualism efforts as always.

People need to understand why the Senate, and the House of Reps do not support Jonathan. The main premise upon which GEJ's arguement for need to remove subsidy is based is that the nation spent 1.34 trillion on subsidy, which is too much.

The Senate committee presently investigating the subsidy regime and the House of reps have told him that figur is fraudulent, that the subsidy in the last sevearl years has never exeeded 300 billion, it illogical and impossible for it to suddenly ballon like five times to almost 1.4 trillion. Neither Jonathan nor any goverment official has been able to offer the senate committe or House of Reps any satisfactory explanation.

Are they supposed to blindly follow Jonathan and just take his word for it.

Pat utomi said it during Jonthan's campeingn that the guy was spending like 100 million naira a day.

The issue is this, the real subsidy figur is lower than 300 billion and easliy affordable to the nation's purse.

Do you even believe yourself on this figures? If for instance petrol sells for N175 in Ghana, while it sells for N65 in Nigeria. Multiply the difference by the average daily consumption rate in Nigeria and again multiply that answer by 365 days in a year. It is only then you can come up with figures that maybe reliable. What's Nigeria's average daily consumption rate of petrol?

Don't come here and quote figures you cannot substantiate

The people are tired of excuses - the customs boss should be summond by the house to explain why and how tankers with petrol pass the borders with impunity.

My people. We have all seen that these govt is insincere, wicked, heartless, and insensitive. I think nobody should patronize banks, air port and other govt services in the mean time as means of protest rather than endangering our lives in the face of mad dog forces(police and sodier)

if all lament and grieve with such intensity, then i suppose its time to address the neglect the niger delta has suffered for decades. we own this oil, yet we suffer the pollution, land degradation, explosion and many with little or no benefit. we have no rivers anymore as they have all been polluted by leakages and explosions, the average populace thrive in illiteracy and ignorance,
Nigeria as a whole benefit from our oil and we dont even get a share of development or compensation from the govt. or companies that make huge earnings in our lands. it was out of neglect and too many unanswered plea that a group called the MEND was formed to fight against the govt. as to this effect, many villages have been wiped out and turned to cemetaries by govt troupes, many women and kids molested with no compensation from the govt. you can recall this group aimed at pipelines and not human lives, yet they paid with their own lives for fighting against resource exploit, this is all we got left, oil, as our land is constantly degrading, our waters are deeply polluted for commercial fishing, our air chemicalized and our brothers slained,
i am forced to ask, was the rest part of Nigeria too selfish to lend a voice for our liberation as at when needed?

You need to come out of that Chanomi creek where you are hiding so you can update yourself very well. You can't even tell your story properly, we will continue to help you all the same. Now is a good time to bring MEND out so we can have sovereign national conference like some of us have been canvassing.

Funny people. c.30 billion dollars of reserve wasted, now PDP wants 8billion dollars to develop infrastructure. If you could not manage 30 billion, then how do they expect people to trust then to manage 8billion.

What nonsense are u babbling about? These figurs are in the public domain, how did I come up with them. The Joint Sensta Committee charged with the task of investigating the subsidy regime was televised live for all Nigerians to see. Subsidy untill 2yrs ago had always been under 300 billion.

If you are an ignorant person, pls spare us ur shallowness. It's not by force to say something.

Your rediculous over-simplistic primary school oil arithmetic shows: you are either a mischief-maker or the matter is truly beyond your brain-power.

Jonathan should be able to listen to the house and harken to the popular opinion of the ppl. period. He is not allknowing!
Govt is not a popularity contest. All over the world, govts do take tough and painful decisions when they have to regardless of public opinion. Why? because during elections, you gave them a mandate to govern the country in the way they beleive is right. so,, where they need to take 'unpopular' decisions to achieve their election promises, they do it. The best you can do if you are unhappy with how the policy turned out is to vote them out in the next elections or ask you legislators to impeach them. NLC/TUC and opposition party members cannot tell the President how to run the country. If they want to retain subsidy, they should contest elections,, get into office and do implement their own policies. Afterall, Oshiomole did that in Edo.

The House of Assembly must understand that the people of Nigerians
on the street are clamoring for pay cut in the House for subsidy Removal
to work .That all should sacrifice. It seem that NLC and TUC dont have arguement
in this subsidy thing. Telling the Government to reverse means they are not
for Nigerians rather they are becoming Cog on the wheel of Progress of Nigerians.
