Sorry, i dont clear cars at cotonou, you can contact the cotonou agents.
I know for those cars, cost of clearing is between 180k and 200k.

Kindly help me out here. . . .has there been any major change in guard per customs at the Wharf?
Also, any change in Clearing Charges and all that?

Then Five Star Terminal, i was told that a new regime of fees starts charging demurhage on cars and goods right from the day the vessel berths
I am having very serious doubts over the points above but i hope u can clarify what is the situation on ground
And where and where they occured. . . . . . . . also, waht is presently obtainable?

Oga Emperoh, there are some modifications in clearing procedures now.The ASYCUDA ++ programme is now being fully implemented,

adexfem:

[KLT and LILYPONG] New self assessment and upfront e-payment procedure


As of Monday 22nd of February 2010, the new self assessment and upfront e-payment procedure will be operational at KLT and LILYPOND. Please note the following:

1- Clearing agent will assess SGDs ( Single Goods Declaration )

2- Proceed to bank for payment

3- The clearing agent will trigger selectivity

4- Exit note will be generated by terminal operator




This procedure is now operational at the following Commands; APAPA, TINCAN and GRIMALDI.

There is no major change in charges, expecially for the older cars.

Five Star right from time dont indicate their demurrage free days on their invoice.It is true they charge demurrage as soon as the vessel leaves.But we indirectly get 3 to 5 days free from them.

1.Used  '97 Volvo Tractor w/sleeper Tandem Axle.
2.Used  '93 Peterbilt Tri Axle Dump Truck.
3.2006 M.Benz CLS 500
4.40 FT. Container with household goods.

What's your professional advise as regards shipping the '06 car via RORO  or inside the 40ft container,the cost implication I mean?
The container contains all kinds of household items; power gen. sets, furnitures, refridgerators and stuffs like that. Would there be a problem with the clearing?
